I knew someone who gave birth to a fatass that weight 13lb at birth. Someone in the nursery blurted out "Who's moose is that?!", the father overheard and and was pretty damn close to knocking the guy's lights out.

/The kid grew up to be a real porker.

"Why did you say that twice?"
I said, "I didn't.

That's actually horrifying.
Can you say "uncontrolled gestational diabetes"?

I wonder how close the baby was to her due date. Was this one of those pregnancies that went weeks over without inducing?

/Three weeks from due date.
//Weight gain has been within the recommended parameters.

Hell, my wife had 13 pounds of baby in her...

Granted, it was divided up between both twins, but still.

My oldest was 11 lbs 14 oz when he was born. He's 6'3 and *maybe* 160 lbs now at 18. My youngest was
10 lbs 5 oz when he was born. He's 12 and is 5'7 and around 130.

Both were c-section babies.

Holy hell, how many burgers did you quaff while pregnane? Lay off 'em for a bit.

My girlfriend's sister had a 10-pounder. It's actually pretty gross - it's a real porker. Every time I see it, I find it hard to not comment on its infantile obesity and question its health.

I have a friend who had gestational diabetes.  Her son was the largest baby every born at Fairchild AFB, at 15 pounds, 15 ounces. She was in labor four days before they finally did a C-section. We were all furious that the doctors wouldn't do a C-section sooner because she was in absolute agony.  There was no way he'd have fit through the birth canal and he wound up with damage to his ears due to the over-enthusiastic use of forceps. He looked like a baby sumo wrestler but has since grown into a normal sized kid.

i was 10 lbs 11 oz and 2 feet long.

/grown less that 4 feet in 45 years

I was just shy of 11lbs.  Not fat.  Just big/long.

Apparently, they put me in the viewing room (this was a long time ago) right next to a preemie.  Made me look even huger.

Meh.  Mr. Chameleon was 13 pounds when born and he grew up to be normal.  He's tall, but not oddly so. (And he was scrawny as a teenager--glad he filled out by the time I met him.)
