Everyone knows OBL isn't in the Arabian Sea.  That dude is hanging out with King Abdul Aziz El-Mustafa ibn Saud in his golden palace in Oman.

Good to see the Indian naval services on the case.  We should encourage them to handle a lot more of the sea security from the African coast to Indonesia.  Relieve the US from having to worry about that part of the world.

---- Agreed, I think they could have a fun time with Somali pirates.
Time for some scuba missions! Or an underwater vehicle...

Yeah, that's one of my all-time favorite logos. Especially for an industry as boring as container shipping.

Are they hallow? NYC washed and dumped old subway cars into the ocean or east river or Hudson or somewhere and they've made decent habitats for fishes and creatures.

The shipping containers should be okay, as long as they're not full of toxic shiat.

Nah, it's been revealed now that his body was flown to the USA for obvious reasons.

His body was cremated. Where they put the ashes is undisclosed.

Indian Coast Guard? It's bad enough they allow booze on those reservations. Why in hell do they give them ships as well?

Did the main hatchway cave in?  That would be my guess.  The main hatchway caving in would put the good ship and crew in peril.

FTFA:
On June 27, the stern section began taking on water and sank with an estimated 1,700 containers and   1,500 metric tons of fuel oil. These photos sent to gCaptain were taken over a five minute period.

Obviously shopped. The missing lifeboat with the teenager, tiger, zebra, orangutan and hyena aren't there anywhere.

Then heeled over and lost the cargo.
Then sank.

My guess was that Obama mixed it in milk, and drank the mixture for super powers.

I prefer your guess. :)

But the  fourth one stayed up.  And that's what you're going to get, Lad, the strongest container ship in all of England.

What's the rule on salvage?  Can someone just float on in and nab one of those containers?

In these types of incidents on the high seas, maritime case law precedent (Finders vs. Keepers) says ickity ackity oop, it's yours.

ZzeusS: What's the rule on salvage?  Can someone just float on in and nab one of those containers?

Well, the containers from the stern is free for taking. As for the containers on the bow, you may have a fight with the salvage crews already working the fire. They want to get paid.

Considering the sea traffic through that part of the world, that's about ten times fewer than I would have expected.

I'm not sure why we still bother with these Luddite boats. Surely all we need is one 3D printer per continent? Oh and one in orbit.
