You see, back in the old days, you had to write your Wat 5 or Fortran computer program on something called a punch card.  If you ever got your cards out of order or forgot to put one in the stack when you ran your program, your program would fail.  Often you had no idea if it was a card sequence, a typo or if your program logic was fubar that caused your program to fail.  Good times.
