Why do you think companies race to get into small, war torn countries to invest?  The risk vs. reward is huge when the country is growing at as you'll see GDP jump at 10~15% in some cases.

Cocoa Cola was one of the first manufacturing plants in Somalia and  I believe Cinnabon was one of the first global companies to reinvest in Syria shortly after it's fall.

Is it just me or does that register look like it's not plugged in? Could just be the way the photograph was taken but I see no illumination in the display panel.

Dear Mr. Freakstorm,

The nuclear device that you have ordered from us is still on back order. We are experiencing some quality control issues and want to make certain that the device that you order works to your expectation when you use it.

Since we respect customer loyalty we will be upgrading your device to 12 megatons at no additional megatonnage cost to you. You will soon be receiving the Dear Leader's Big Boomer 12 instead of the Dear Leader Big Boomer 8. If you would rather have the 8, please let us know and will comp the paint job or add an additional tail fin.

Please do not call customer support at this time. They have been retrained to catch a bullet with their insolent, disrespectful and food-needing bodies.

Thank you for your understanding and time
Respectfully
Best Korea Nukes

Man farts in North Korea, massive spoke in GDP as dear leader touts their booming methane production. Promptly celebrates by throwing a Hennessy fueled party.

In all fairness, the plight of the North Koreans is tragic. I can't wait for the day things change.

Well, to be fair... Brazil only had anywhere from .2 to 2.5% GDP growth in 2012, which for a developing country is pretty bad.

North Korea's economy is so small, if it had a good year selling missiles/military parts or opens up a new export manufacturing area or exports a large amount of minerals from its many slave labor operations, than it will have an effect on its GDP.

Speaking of Jayne's hat, I find this clip really interesting.  It amazes me how different from Jayne Adam Baldwin looks and sounds in the clip.  Of course part of it is increased age and weight, but it's more than that.  The voice, in particular isn't something easily explained by age or weight alone.  He's like a completely different person.

i guess it should not be surprising, as, after all, it really just proves Baldwin was acting when portraying Jayne, but still, I find that kind of transformation fascinating.

Taken June 21. The guy in the yellow shirt is the Susongchon Combined Foodstuffs factory director. He is North Korean and this was taken in Chongjin.
I am in the photo. Make this the third chubby person you have seen in North Korea. Some of the others working here were well fed.

To me, his voice sounds much less "raspy" and "gravelly."  It also sounds warmer and friendlier.  It could be my imagination, I suppose.
