I hope that in this day of social media SOMEONE will turn this P.O.S. in. Now with that said, if you don't want to turn them into the police or SPCA.... send them here to Tampa. I got a couple of boys with tire irons, an acetylene torch and some vice grips....

We'd have some fun with this one......

Going to go hugs my dogs and cook up a steak for them

Moosey, you fed the troll.  That said, the thing that makes this so horrible is the act itself.  It doesn't matter what kind of dog it was, just that some sick fark out there gets his jollies that way.  The dog did not die immedately and had to be euthanized which means it was in a great deal of pain for some time.  Sick b*stard probably creamed himself.

Why do we assume it was intentional? Perhaps the guy wasn't thinking about the dog, threw the firework, and the dog went after it.

More than likely they were tossing m80's and a stupid dog decided to play fetch.  I have known 2 stupid ass dogs that love fireworks.

I think it was around 2003 or so we were shooting those reloadable mortar's off (in the country) and the  neighbors dog decided to go snatch the mortar tube when someone just lit one.  I was about 5' away from it when it happened along w. 4 others.  I really just remember yelling OH SHIAT and hauling ass and about 10 seconds later the mortar exploded (damn they cover a lot of area when they go off on the ground) all over us.  We all thought the dog was dead but we saw it the next day and it was fine.

The other retarded dog will attack fireworks even a string a black cats going off.  Steal sparklers from the kids, get burned then growl and try to pick it up again w. it's mouth.  Yeah that dog now gets caged up when there are fireworks near.

Cormee: Lucky LaRue: Sometimes dogs are just stupid, you know.

Years ago, my dog got out of the house during 4th of July celebrations and attacked a lit Roman candle.  He wasn't hurt, but it sure was funny watching people scramble as he ran down the street with it.

When I was a kid, a friend and I were in a room, on the second floor, of a house that was being built. He threw a stick out the window frame and his idiot dog jumped right out after it. Somehow he survived.

There's a great YouTube video of a dachshund running with a roman candle, terrorizing everyone in range.

A few years ago, one of the surrounding counties had a case, where the assholes duct taped fireworks to a pit, and set them off.  The dog was so horribly burned that it had to be euthanized.  Did the assholes get jailtime when they got caught?  Nope..  Just a fine.

People like that should be burned at the stake.  Yes, I see people saying that dogs are stupid, but they aren't.  They are bred to rely on people.  A dog has a tendancy to trust people to a fault.   Some pay the price for trust.

To the people who think it's fun to hurt animals, Fark you,  Karma is a biatch.

I need more information to know if I should be outraged.  Did somebody actually throw it at the dog or did the dog run and pick it up?  Was the in a rural, suburban or urban setting?  Was the dog leashed or in a fenced in yard or out running around?  Leash laws you know.

My theory that I've completely pulled out of my ass is that the dogs owner threw a M80 or similar, that dog picked it up and got his face rearranged.  Owner panics knowing his wife and kids will crucify him and makes up BS story to cover his ass.

Pits aren't mean.  They're territorial.  That's their nature.    They'll guard what they think is theirs.  Most of the pit attacks you hear about, if you really look back at the dog's history, they are mean, because someone has treated them like shiat, trying to raise them to fight..

I've had more trouble from little yappy dogs than I've ever had with pitbulls..

2013-07-12 02:39:26 PM
Nice that everyone assumes it was intentional. It's not like pit bulls are known for spontaneously biting down on things that you don't want them to or anything - like people, toddlers, other dogs, other pit bulls, anything that moves, anything that doesn't move....

My roomate had a pit. It was a dangerous animal. She would get so happy (the pit, not the roomate) that her tail would whip back and forth so hard it would bruise the shiat out of you. I used to be a pit lover like you, until I took a tail to the face.

The firecracker pictured looks like a Groundblaster. Loads of fun, cheap (100 for $.99) and pretty powerful for the size. Put one in a coke can with a little liquid in it, and it will make the can jump by popping out the bottom. Plus they are water proof. (at least for as long as a lit fuze lasts) We'd drop them in the pool were they'd sink down and go "POOOMPH" like little mini depth charges.

I can see one of those causing some serious damage in a tightly closed mouth. Me and my brother were tossing them in my dad's pool (he hated that) and I was just about to light one when my brother lights a mortor shells and chucks it in....where it promptly floats to the surface. Whilst feeling the immediate sphere of destruction coming my way, I managed to light the groundblaster with the sparkler I was holding in my other hand. The firecracker goes off in between my thumb and forefinger. No lost digits as I was holding it losely at the bottom, but my two fingers where numb for about an hour.

Thank You Black Jesus!: News flash: dogs are stupid.

A dog that's smart enough to understand a lit firework is going to explode would make a pretty useful pet.

On the other hand, maybe not--a dog that clever could get into a lot of trouble.

Anyone who does malicious harm to an animal, especially a dog (as their reason for existence is companionship and working for humans), deserves to have the same done to them, and to be afforded none of the mercies we give to animals who are maimed.

Firecracker in a dog's mouth? An equivalent sized (for a human rather than a dog) piece of explosive gets detonated in your mouth. You don't get the mercy of euthanasia.

/The only instance I ever seriously call for physical punishment rather than jail time
