Sometimes dogs are just stupid, you know.

Years ago, my dog got out of the house during 4th of July celebrations and attacked a lit Roman candle.  He wasn't hurt, but it sure was funny watching people scramble as he ran down the street with it.

When I was a kid, a friend and I were in a room, on the second floor, of a house that was being built. He threw a stick out the window frame and his idiot dog jumped right out after it. Somehow he survived.

Heard a story about a guy ice fishing who thru a stick of dynamite out onto the ice, poor pup thought it was a game of fetch and ran to get it. The guy and his equally stupid friend started shooting their guns to scare the dog off...scared the dog right into hiding under the dumbasses brand new truck. Guy lost the dog and the truck that day.

Think of holding an exploding firecracker. If it explodes with your hand open, you get a burn & ringing ears, but it's not a big deal. Hold it in your closed hand and let it explode, and your wife's opening the ketchup bottle for the rest of your life.

/not obscure

Of course, you could just not hold exploding things. You know better, the dog doesn't.

Stories like this are literally the only things those people are good for.  They essentially exist purely as a form of entertainment for the rest of us; when something happens that the rest of the Internet throws up their hands over, like that coont mom in Michigan who made fun of the little girl dying of some debilitating illness, we call on them to destroy their lives and we get a great deal of pleasure out of it.

They are living schadenfreude machines.

How about you spend that $5000 on farking cat/dog food and save the lives of many cats/dogs instead of doing something stupid for a dog that's already dead?

Because, unlike you, they're smart enough to know that the odds are this isn't the only animal this shiatbird has tortured and will torture in the future.

Unlike you, I'm not rushing to judgement. The dog could have been running around and grabbed a lit firework. Since no one knows what happened, how can you say his incident was intentional? Oh right, you were there. You were probably at the scene when George Zimmerman shot lil tray tray too right? Can you tell me how that played out?

Reel says the dog's face was so badly damaged that the animal had to be euthanized.

Good thing we don't apply that standard to people.

Moosey, you fed the troll.  That said, the thing that makes this so horrible is the act itself.  It doesn't matter what kind of dog it was, just that some sick fark out there gets his jollies that way.  The dog did not die immedately and had to be euthanized which means it was in a great deal of pain for some time.  Sick b*stard probably creamed himself.

Why do we assume it was intentional? Perhaps the guy wasn't thinking about the dog, threw the firework, and the dog went after it.

FIFY

I am no great fan of pit bulls--I've seen the results of too many unprovoked attacks--but I am even less a fan of the sick farks who would do this sort of thing to a dog, any dog.

Find this sick fark and shove an explosive where the sun don't shine.
