How about eleventy gazillion?

2013-07-12 09:50:45 AM
Wow! With that kind of money you could run a war for a couple of months.

2013-07-12 09:51:29 AM
Oh no, 18 billion over 10 years, 1.8 billion a year.  A half of a percent of the federal budget being "wasted" on this huge program.

Yeah...we should be giving all of that to Halliburton to build more shiat we don't need in Afghanistan.

The original forecast didn't call for the republicans dragging the economy into the toilet on purpose(that really is the only difference between the surplus model and the current one).

The multiple key members of the Bush administration promised the Iraq War would pay for itself. 1trillion + dollars and 4000+ American lives later, we're still paying for it. So shut the f*ck up.

180 billion dimes is $1.8T.

Math, learn it.

Obama says a car gets 50 mpg, and the GOP slashes the tires and loads the trunk with lead bars just so it can complain that he's wrong.

"War in Iraq will only cost $80 billion."

That's probably true.

Of course, it's the decade after the war that cost us trillions of dollars and 4000 American lives.

Better to waste money not really fixing an actual problem than to waste it blowing people up I guess.

An important think to note here, is that WE CURRENTLY HAVE A  SURPLUS, and we are still under sequester. Why are we under sequester exactly?

Not enough for Obama's aircraft carrier world tour extravaganza 2013 with special guests J D Salinger and Mo Racca.

In September 2009, President Obama promised the country that "I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits - either now or in the future."

But it turns out Obama did sign such a plan - in fact, ObamaCare could add upwards of 180 billion dimes to the deficit in its first 10 years, an IBD analysis of various official budget reports found.

Looks like "Long Hyphen Analysis" to me. A- in fact B!

WHAT?!??!? You NEVER spend that kind of money on Americans. Only thing you can spend that kind of money on is war and foreign aid.

Golden age is a little strong, but let's be honest with ourselves. America is growing. Everyone else in the OECD is shrinking. We're doing something right.

I've been told by FARK IndependentsTM that there are no big business subsidies, only reimbursements in the form of cash.

$18 billion for healthcare for Americans for 10 years? ADDING TOO MUCH TO THE DEFICIT!

$18 billion for a month killing people in Iraq? TOTALLY WORTH IT!

That's a hilarious graph.  They really try to make it look like the bad curve is an updated CBO estimate, rather than a thing they made up for the article.

Nobody gives a shiat about the deficit to do anything about it anyway (especially when they are talking about things they like) so what's the big deal?

I'm not a huge fan of Obamacare (It's a baby-step at best), but that is some pretty damn good trolling. Because, if 'Obamacare' becomes popular once it's fully implemented, the name's stuck...because REPUBLICANS pushed it like crazy. So, if the ACA grows in popularity, Obama himself grows with it.

I wonder if any of the relatively sane Republicans have realized this. I'd LOVE to see the look on Boehner or McConnell's face if/when they do.

For a while anyway.

You can jam a penny in a fusebox and have your air conditioning back but it'll eventually burn down the house.

Good

. We could use some more government spending.

But unfortunately I don't think we have to worry about Congress doing that. Or anything constructive, really.

What the Republicans don't realize is that 20 years from now, the outcome of their current strategy will be equivalent to if they had "successfully" gotten the public to call Social Security and Medicare "Democrat-Care".

Yep. Don't tell the GOP, though. They thought they had an albatross they could hang around Obama's neck, and now he's flashing it like the social support bling that it really is, so it's confusing them.

Don't forget that Obama is against Small Businesses, in which most Americans work, the most critical to the economy of which are investment firms and law offices. Truly every American knows what it's like to work in investment firms and law offices.
