So, they'll be showing nothing but Red Sox and Yankees games from here out?

I'm glad that, unlike A-rod, Jeter put up the sort of numbers in rehab to show that he's ready.

YES or Yankee Stadium botched his return somehow?

DeWayne Mann: I'm glad that, unlike A-rod, Jeter put up the sort of numbers in rehab to show that he's ready.

Didnt Hafner and Gardner getting hurt have something to do with him getting called up so quickly?

Is it true he is limping?

/so many questions, my apologies.

Jeter is dead in the eyes of ESPN. Puig is their new god now! A self-absorbed 21 year old who is the level of douche everyone thought Bryce Harper was.

Beats me. I just wanted to make a sarcastic comment about how Jeter & A-rod hit roughly equally in rehab. Jeter was at a higher level, so they're not actually equal....but it's still funny.

To me, at least.

Oh hey I found Miguel Montero's fark handle.

Which is weird, because I figured it would be that "Miguel Montero was an all-star so he's the best catcher in the league" guy.

To be fair, that lone D-Backs fan is committed. In fact I think he was at one point.

True, but there is a level of "I'm better than you so suck it" that Puig shows that Harper and Trout never did.

Well to be fair, he's probably 31.

Jayson Stark  @jaysonst
Scouts who have been watching Jeter don't think he's ready. One said: "Everything is still out of sync. He looked about 60 percent to me."

thank God Jeter's back with the Yankees.  for the past week or so he's been rehabbing in Scranton, and people have been chasing him all over town whenever he went out to grab something to eat.

he must be happy to be back in the peace and calm of NYC

Wrong. If it was Montero, he would've replaced Harper with "Trevor Bauer."

Apparently Jeter got an MRI after the game because he felt tightness in his quad.  Is there some kind of record for players coming back from the DL and going back on it less than a week later?  Because the Yankees are poised to set it.

I'm gonna repost this because I knew your tears would be flowing somewhere.

RUSSIA FOR THE RUSSIAN GOD

You could up and retire at age 30 to go back to Russia for hundreds of millions of dollars, leaving your team after the draft and after all the good UFAs are gone and still holding a 250k cap penalty for the next 11 years plus the loss of a 1st rd draft pick and a 3rd.

So it could be worse.

OK, now I'm hearing it's just a little tightness and Girardi didn't sound worried in a post-game press conference.  Hopefully he'll be fine and back out there tomorrow.

I'd play it safe and have him play a game then take a day off and alternate like that for a while. But maybe they won't do that with the ASG break coming up.

I'm about as sports entertained as I was when those handful of jerkoffs chanted Bray Wyatt's former gimmick name at him during his debut, I'll tell you that much.

I have sat here for 5 minutes trying to think of something to express how much I hate those guys and why they are the worst wrestling fans in that entire arena, but I just cant find the words to properly express it.

If that sort of statistic is kept, I would bet my bottom dollar that this is a record owned by Rich Harden, aka the single biggest pussy to ever play professional sports, ever (including soccer).

It was perfect. PERFECT. Everything went PERFECT, lol, and a bunch of idiots who just stopped complaining that nothing cool or fresh or exciting ever happens had to show how "smart" they are. At least according to reports nobody backstage cared. Can't have that shiat catching on, though, hopefully Philly does us proud on Sunday. In fairness to all Baltimore fans, not captured on the TV broadcast but in the arena during the commercial break, THAT WAS AWESOME chants from the whole arena drowned out the HUSKY HARRIS stuff. Too bad it didn't make TV.

He has addressed it in the past and claimed something like, "Husky Harris is merely the vessel I chose to inhabit"

Dont thing creative will allow him to be a legit schizophrenic or demon though.

Brian Roberts, from the orioles, missed all but 17 games last year, and then hurt himself on the third day of the season.  He came back last week.

The Mets probably set it this year. Scott Atchison was recalled from the DL on June 18th, was brought in to pitch in a game, hurt himself throwing warmup pitches, and was placed on the DL again on June 19th.

It's called the Mike Hampton. Guy has TJ surgery in 05, tears a muscle preparing to come back in 07, in 08 pulls another muscle in warmups for his first game back. Three and a half months later, he comes back.

//and gets injured again before the end of the year.
