I can't wait to see the followup video of her during taser training.

2013-07-10 08:13:30 AM
It's a scary thought that she will one day (self) serve and protect (their own).

2013-07-10 08:31:59 AM
At least one police officer will be out there who will think about what she's doing before reaching for pepper spray.  That shiat hurts.

Why don't they undergo .357 magnum training?  Or get beaten with clubs?

Sounds like double standards to me.

Some people have a stronger reaction to pepper spray.  It hardly works on people from India or Mexico.

No shaved head? No tribal tattoos? She'll never make it as a Police State Officer.

2013-07-10 10:01:02 AM
This isn't that unusual. Some of the biggest, toughest, scariest muscle-bound manly men in the military or police forces do the same exact thing when exposed to sprays. That's the entire point.

Dude got batoned right in the balls. That was quality entertainment right there.

2013-07-10 10:06:35 AM
I liked how she hit that dude in the balls with a club.

10 % OC is nothing to laugh at, that stuff is the truth.

2013-07-10 10:27:08 AM
No wonder cops have to wear all that armor and carry high-powered weapons.

2013-07-10 10:36:59 AM
I have never been pepper sprayed so I won't comment on her experience, specially since it is part of her training.

People who do that just to show how tough they are and end up behaving like her, those I laugh at.

Taser is infinitely better than OC spray.  The only people who say otherwise are those few people with a natural OC resistance.

Perhaps she can go be fat in some other police force?

FARKING THIS.

\after being pepper sprayed, I will do jail time
\\because even if it takes weeks, I will find the Mofo who sprayed me and spray him back

I am an officer and I had to go through that same type of training when I was in rookie school 9yrs ago...  Pepper spray is no joke!  I was able to get through the combat course but damn... That shiat is painful and it lasted for days!  Every time I took a shower it re-activated the pepper, not fun when it rolls down your body to the private areas.

Our department went through Taser training two years ago and yes it REALLY hurts but once it was over, it was over.  Pepper Spray just comes back to haunt you!!!  I actually volunteered to be Tasered again for a different training procedure because I knew that once it was over it was over.  Fark pepper spray, its the gift that keeps on giving...  Everyone biatches about Tasers but honestly, once the 5 second ride is done, its over.  Pepper just lingers for days.... I hate the stuff and I don't even wish upon my worst arrestee!!!

For all the Farkers who hate cops, I'm human like you, I have a job to do and I try to do it well with everyone's best interest.  To be human is to error and to error is to be human.

Cops can Fark things up sometimes and I know that.  I cringe when I read stupid stuff that cops do in the news (a bad decision or action by one officer reflects the actions of every officer in the nation) unfair maybe but true. Anyway, if you are going to write a negative (trolling) response or bash me for what I do, it doesn't matter because I'm not going to read it anyway.  I'm a Farker and have been for years.  You all be safe :)

Looks like she fits in well right where she is. Physical fitness standards? Not in my police force.

I know right? If they use pepper spray on others they are the worst people ever.  If it hurts them when used on them they are just a bunch of pussies.

I work at a federal youth education and training program (rhymes with Knob Lore) and our security students have the option of getting sprayed when they go through pepper spray certification. The vast majority handle it better than this, but some students (especially the really fair skinned ones) just have a miserable time. They don't have to do quite so many things before being able to rise off, usually just two blows with the nightstick to bags being held and handcuff a fellow student. Then the medical staff takes care of them. The spray they use in the video is without a doubt more concentrated, though.

/the big surprise comes later that night
//didn't rise it all out of your hair? have a nice shower bub.

I had a guy try to rob a business I worked at about twenty years ago mace me as he was escaping. I cussed a lot...during the 911 call and after. I've been told the newer pepper sprays are even worse. not something I would want to volunteer for.

/he didn't get a dime. I learned a few lessons about drive through windows though.

Scarier still that she may flunk out and decide to "serve and protect" her neighborhood anyway.

It's not individual officer mistakes that are the problem, it's the growing paramilitary culture within police departments which promote escalationism and antagonism toward the citizenry you are supposed to be serving. I'm sure you have noticed this growing culture within your police ranks. I hope you are doing everything you can to avoid engaging in it yourself, and rebuking colleagues who do.

You do know your granddad's cops were as bad or worse, right?

And if you think the irish stereotype cops weren't beating some faces in....

What we see now is a higher prevalence of independent video recording of bad behavior, not necessarily worse behavior.

Idk if what mailmen carry is not as strong or some breeds have a natural non-reaction to the stuff, but I saw my gsd get sprayed an man did that piss her off! Almost lost mail service for that.

Meanwhile, military soldiers stand at attention without gas masks and breathe inside tear gas to prep for potential battlefield situations involving chemical warfare/avoid panicking when the alert goes off.

All the cops I know are ex-military, and will freely tell you OC is much worse than CS gas.

I honestly don't doubt it.

My info is 3rd party by the way.  Friend of mine went in as a helicopter mechanic and has been milking the military training for what it's worth to build up his resume when he leaves.  Basically if they have a position open you can train for it.  Whether it's open when you're finished or not is beside the point.  Just be prepared for having 1 or two full semesters of course teaching shoved down your throat in two months complete with an exam at the end of those 2.
