benghazi: not a scandal
IRS: not a scandal
NSA: not a scandal

what else do you have, republicans?

but, yeah, the GOP in full obstruction/witch hunt mode does tend to gum up the gears of government.

whidbey: The economy is still weak, unemployment still high, the budget deficit and federal spending both still well above historical averages, and Obamacare continues unpopular

The economy is weak because multi-billion dollar big businesses are sitting on a shiat-ton of money and not hiring. Has jack shiat to do with the President, and more with regarding workers as expendable bargains they feel the have the "right" to pick and choose.

I still don't get why they have such huge amounts of cash on hand.  If nothing else their shareholders should be all over them for not doing anything with it to improve earnings.  A Scrooge McDuck money bin is just about the worst thing you can do with your money.

Stile4aly: It also doesn't help that Obama has no partner in government. The House can't even pass a farking farm bill, let alone a signature piece of legislation like immigration reform, so Obama has no legislative victories to point to.

You what now? Pretty sure there's still a long list of accomplishments despite his inexperience in playing Congress like a piano.

MaudlinMutantMollusk: THAT is precisely what the Republicans planned

That was their plan last term, hoping to retake the Presidency and Senate. That failed completely and the only reason they kept the House was gerrymandering. I don't think they have a plan now, which is why we see so many non-scandals.

Well, they  planned for that to cost him the 2012 election.

Obamacare is unpopular.  It says so right in the editorial.

The amount of concern in that article is the real scandal.

And of course some stupid conservative magazine like Forbes is going to biatch about government spending. Any deficit is bad to a bunch of bean counters who made their money being selfish pricks.

No surprise they consider the first attempt to insure every American "unpopular, " either, seeing as most of them are probably too cheap to shell out any money for a decent health plan to begin with.

Not impressed. F*ck Forbes.
