From TFA itself:

Armstrong told the Des Moines Register that he and staffers from his Austin, Texas-based bicycle shop will ride for 'three or four days' in The Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI), an annual event sponsored by the newspaper that runs from the Missouri to Mississippi rivers.

This will mark the fifth visit to RAGGRAI for Armstrong

Great job, Mr. Editing Guy.

Ugh... as a native Idahoan i hate hate hate it when people confuse Iowa with Idaho.

As far as Lance goes...he bought a house near my hometown up north. I hope I "run into him" sometimes on the local mtb trails.
Doping doesn't help your downhill skills d-bag.

Assholes all over the world make that mistake.  It's stupidity coupled with ignorance that lets us mock them.

Frankly if Lance Armstrong wants to come to Idaho he can get his ass handed to him by Kristin Armstrong.

state-long trek across Iowa.

How many parsecs are in a state?

Even the best newspapers in England get simple stuff about the US wrong.  I wrote a letter to the editor of The Times for confusing Ohio and Utah.  I believe I said something like "Other than having 4 letters in their names, there is just about nothing similar between the two states."

As a native Iowan, it bugs me when people confuse us with Idaho.  I don't even get how that happens?  Both our states start with an I?

As for Lance, I could care less that he's going to be in RAGBRAI again.  if he would have just come clean way back when this first came up I'd be willing to give him a pass, since I'm sure whoever got 2nd in those TDF's was also doping.  But the fact he lied about it for years, and I was willing to believe him...well fark that and welcome to civilian life.

Where in Idaho? I grew up(Age 6-14) in American Falls, and lived a year in Lewiston. I love the place. I have more of a problem with the people that think that Hayden Lake White Supremacists represent the entire state.

Maybe they can have the bike race on the Ohio-Iowa-Idaho-Hawaii Highway.

It's been a long time since I rode RAGBRAI. But my memory of it is: Ride 10 miles. Stop. Eat Spaghetti.  Ride 10 miles. Stop. Eat Ice Cream.  Ride 10 miles. Stop. Eat pie.  Ride 10 miles. Stop. Drink beer and dance.  Ride in wiggly line 10 miles. Stop. Drink more beer. Get up in morning. Ride 10 miles....

In other words, RAGBRAI is a great way to gain weight.  Just look out for the thunderstorms. It turns out that corn doesn't slow down hail.  Who knew?

My grandparents saw Lake Erie on fire when they lived in Idaho.  They've since moved to Des Moines, Utah, and watch the Bengals play whenever they can.

LOL, born in Coeur d' alene. Lived in Hayden.
I lived there for 25 years and only saw one skinhead.  Whole thing was overblown. But at least it kept some Californians from moving there.

Coeur d' Alene... Beautiful place. Only saw it once when I was about 13, but it was awesome. Southeastern ID was pretty damned flat, but the mountains were close, so it had that going for it. Couple that with the fishing I was used to, and Arizona was a VERY big culture shock when I ended up there.

Just wait till something happens in a state that starts with M, god, there are like 8 of them. Mississippi, Missouri -- which one is which? Who knows!

Lance is right. It cannot be won at this level without biological assistance.

Lance violated the 11th Commandment. Thou shall not get caught.

I feel your pain, Iowans.I have to say Washington state or people think the wrong side of the country.

The fixed headline led to some head scratching.
