Well obviously.  Everyone knows there are two things in life you can't escape: death and taxis.

Even tough guys tumble.  It's enough to make a hard man humble.

Primum: Wow some jerkoff 51-year-old white man working for a jerkoff American company gets his jerkoff fat body carved up over $1.60.

Boo frickin' hoo. Deserved to die IMHO.

You think he deserved to die?  Even if it's as described and let's say $1.60 in Thailand is worth about $1600 in the US (a gross exaggeration, I would think) does that really deserve death?

If it's as described by the cabbie, the guy who stiffed him deserved an arresting and a few days in jail along with a fine of $1600 at the most.

If we executed every mother farker for such small crimes in the US we wouldn't even need prisons.

RashnuRecently got in a shouting match with a Saigon cabbie over a rigged meter. I threatened to call the cops and pulled out my phone and started to dial (pure bluff) and the cabbie counter-bluffed by yelling, "No, I call them!", pulling his phone out and pretending to talk to someone in Vietnamese. Laughed, threw some small bills at him and dipped out of the taxi and away through the gnarly traffic. Glad he didn't follow and stab me. So unsubtle how fast the meter was jumping up. Like 10$ for 5 blocks, really?

And then Hiro Protagonist showed up on his sweet motorcycle, with YT in tow, and things got real.

Why would you argue over $1.60 about anything?  Just pay it.

Then go down the street to the whorehouse and take it out on the dude's mom.

The victim allegedly stormed out of the cab and refused to pay the 51 baht ($1.60) fare.
The suspect claimed when he asked for the money, the American threw a cup of coffee at him, after which he pulled the knife from his trunk and chased after Pilkington.

Instead of coffee, he should have tossed his shoe. This small action would have indicated a minor disagreement with the fare price, negotiations would have begun thusly. By tossing the coffee, he struck first and paid a different price. It's always best to know your client before hand.

Maybe he was trying to become a ladyboy and the cabby just got carried away.
