I'd certainly watch the candidate debates involving Perry, Bachmann and Nugent.  Through in the possibility of a Palin and it will be must see tv.

Poor SNL though.  What could they do to satirize it?

So many executions, so little time.

Why the hell not? My super conservative father in law luuuuuuuuurves him, but when I bring up Huntsman or Christie he's got nothing but contempt. Perry captures something in their imaginations, don't ask me what, I guess as long as he never commits the mortal sin of thanking Obama for anything he'll always be a golden boy.

I have a strong suspicion that, in addition to the standard loonies, Sam Brownback will toss his hat into the ring. Derp Factor 9, engage!

This is good news for Democrats since it guarantees a heavy turn-out of both liberals and independents (and possibly even some neutral-leaning conservatives)  to vote for Not-Rick-Perry. They don't even have to worry so much about producing a strong candidate, so long as they are Not-Rick-Perry.

Actually, he has to wait until 2020 since the GOP always seems to nominate the previous loser to the previous Republican nomination winner.

So Mr. Perry, I'm afraid you will have to wait to 2020 and give Santorum a chance to blow it in 2016.

Important difference: he's been in office for a very, very long time. So, he's got that going for him, which is nice. By nice I mean terrible for all of us.

Perry. He's got what, 250 executions during his term as governor? Gonna give Bachmann the White Horse, what with her anti-vaxxer views. The Red Horse is tough, I'm inclined to say Nugent, but he IS a pants-shiatting draft dodger. Which leaves Palin on the Black Horse.

No, I think their only possible angle would be to play it straight.  Dress the actors like the candidates and maybe have them read debates by T. Roosevelt or Eisenhower

Good hair.
Strong jawline, rugged good likes, sorta resembles Sean Hannity
Defiant refusal to compromise with libs = moral certitude, governing by his gut not polls
Governor of a conservative state = executive experience
Pisses off the libs, so he must be doing something right

If he didn't flub his lines, he'd be the next Reagan

Well if he can run the US with the same sort of track record as Texas he would only make even the most far fetched liberal stories about the wonders of the Obama administration look paltry.

As I said, if I lived in Texas I'd want to keep Perry right where he is.

That's what they did in one of the Palin skits during the 2008 election cycle. Fey just read it verbatim, nothing they could do would make it funnier.

If the GOP has any sense, they'll burn this down as fast as they can.  They cannot afford another fiasco where their entire primary becomes a national joke because their leaders look like clowns in the primary.  They have 3 or 4 candidates they could put up in a primary that wouldn't get laughed out the room.

Of course, we all know they have no sense, and they'll just parade a set of jokers out there again - Bachmann, Trump, Perry.  They'll add Ted Cruz just to make it even more laughable, and another business man (Herman Cain type) will come in and get teased for a while.  Somewhere in there will be one candidate that won't get completely flattened, who will then have to overcome the total ineptness of his own party to make a real run in a general election.  I wonder who that will be this time around?  Huntsman?  Rubio?  Jindal?  Christie?

Considering the track record of former Texas governors as president... I'd want to keep Perry right where he is as well.

The posting asked for someone willing to unlock the door, turn off the lights, and lie face-down on the bed, legs spread. James replied to the ad, and did as instructed. As he lay on his bed in the dark, James heard someone struggling to open the door. Shielding his eyes, he ran out and opened the door.... "He jerked down his shorts," [James said], "It lasted about a minute. He had a little dick. It was the worst fark of my life. And on top of it all he stunk because he had been jogging. He then pulled up his shorts and put the used condom in his pocket."

As the mystery man tried to leave James' apartment, he struggled with the front door, which had a tendency to jam. The man started yelling for James to help him.... As James opened it...his face was illuminated, and seen by James for the first time.

"Oh my God," thought James. "I just got farked by Rick Perry!"

Definitely what you would expect from someone like him.

Huntsman - Moderate Mormon businessman. Oh no, not this shiat again.  0bama's ambassador to China.  Actually speaks chink. Obviously a Manchurian candidate. RINO

Rubio - Illegal immigrant amnesty traitor.  RINO

Jindal - Too brown.  Catholic convert, but still looks like one o' them muslim terrorists to the GOP base. Bah gawd, if'n ah wanted to vote fer one o' THEM ah'd be a democrat.  RINO

Christie - Too fat. Said nice things about 0bama. Likes Springsteen.  RINO
