Pete 'Dead Meat' Thompson is dead. So is Mo Green, Tataglia, Barzini, the heads of all the five families. It is at moments like these, my dear friends, that we must ask ourselves: "How can this not be part of some larger plan?" Do good men like Dead Meat Thompson just blink out one day like a bad bulb? I mean, one minute you're in bed with a knockout gal... or guy, and the next, you're a compost heap. Doesn't that bother any of you? Because it scares the living piss outta me!

I feel for whoever was driving that vehicle, assuming they know who it was.  Bad enough being on scene to something like that, but killing a victim would be hard to live with

Well if you're going to get run over by a vehicle, an ambulance is the best choice. Steam roller is probably the worst.

How the hell do you manage to run over an aircraft crash survivor in the middle of a huge open runway on a bright sunny afternoon?

Sounds like somebody is due for a change of career.

TFA:At the crash scene, police officers [handed] knives up to crew members inside the burning wreckage so they could cut away passengers' seat belts.

TSA isn't going to like that.  Bringing a knife into an aircraft is a felony!

She may have been unconscious and/or underneath debris, which would still be awful and careless, but I doubt they ran her down while she was standing up waving her arms.

Huge open runway full of debris and smoke and rushing to the scene, yeah, no way could this have been a case of shiatty luck all around.

Today, in a plane like the 777, the two guys up front are more like system engineers / system experts than pilots, but damn that is really f*cking things up, that is really screwing up the approach, missing all cues, and just augering the fat b*tch right on in, I mean, damn.

This reminds me of a story I heard back in New York..A dude was carrying a piece of plywood over his head 10 stories up..A gust of wind grabs him..He is smart enough to not let go.He catches the wind and sails himself and the plywood to the ground below unscathed and then a Mack Truck puts him on the Other Side.

TFA: Foucrault, the coroner, said senior San Francisco Fire Department officials notified him and his staff at the crash site on Saturday that one of the 16-year-olds who was kilkled may have been struck on the runaway.

That may be legal in China, but over here, you usually get a visit from Chris Hansen.

Great, now my mental image of this event is John McClane waving those makeshift torches and being suddenly knocked out of frame by a speeding ambulance.

And for those who weren't keeping track, an air taxi crashed earlier today at Soldotna, Alaska killing 10, so the betting is open for number 3.

Doesn't make any difference anyway.  Poor kid.

I'd have the nearby Russians paint on fallout from Chernobyl on the wings to keep them ice-free before flying in that ice-bucket.

No. If you're going to get run over a vehicle a Big Wheel is best. Some bruised shins and a spanking for the little brat is all that will come out of it.

Was there an Asian driving the Ambulance?  Cause I lived in the Bay Area and those stereotypes exist for a reason.

CSB:  Up here in Seattle area, or specifically Paine Field in Everett, an airport worker lost both legs when a plane ran over him on the taxi runway when they were "walking" it out.  It was a sob story on the news, they've done followups of him with his prosthetics, many tears were shed.

What they fail to mention, since I'm personal friends with the runway manager there, is that that stupid motherfarker was texting on his phone while he was guiding the landing gear along the runway.

I'm pretty sure that Buster has met a Mack (or the equivalent  once or twice before. Not after using a plywood parachute though to the best of my knowledge.

Can't remember where I saw a blurb the other day about one of the plane crash victims having road-rash.

/now it makes sense how you get road-rash from a plane crash that didn't split open and spill its gooey center all around.
