Ah, popcorn day never disappoints.

They shoulda run up the score a bit more but other than that?

Considering that the bulls die at the end, I don't award a point unless a runner dies too.

This tradition is doing God's and Darwin's work at the same time.

Bulls unavailable for comment, as they were tortured and killed in bullfights later in the day.

It would be more fun if the bulls had the element of surprise -- as Tad is walking to the Beemer POW, Surprise Bullsex

It won't end so long as they can make steaks at the end of the runs.

They're just not as exciting as they were during the Jordan years.

I was going to ask if it was wrong that I'm rooting for the bulls, and then I remembered where I was posting.

There is an imitation event coming to Houston.  Looks like its for the Tough Mudder/Spartan Race crowds.  Love to see the legal disclaimer for that event.

At least the bulls get to have a little fun.

It should only be a point if the bull fighter is gored...

/bull fighting is cruel and should be banned
//I always root for the bull
///Instead of bull fighting, Spain should embrace bum fights with their current economic condition

I don't really get it. It is about a half mile and the bulls take 4 minutes. How is that dangerous?

Give me a couple knifes and the same half mile and we will see how fast you really can go.

Drunken Spaniards and even more drunken vacationers can't run an 8 minute mile?

And as for your knife threat, a large number of drunken Spaniards could potentially tackle and disarm you.  A large number of drunken Spaniards are still outweighed by the bull.

This is something that sadly doesn't happen with enough frequency.

I don't know, most of the Mudders I know and the 1 friend mad enough to do a Spartan race would consider this not too much of  a challenge. Too short a distance, no obstacles to hurdle/jump/slide under, save for drunk Texans and tourists. Personally I would love to be there for it, simply due to the fact that I've got more chance of getting to Texas than Spain, and I understand drunk English, even drunk Texan accented English, better than I understand Spanish.

The US is so litigious, I can't imagine that working. Someone would run with the bulls and then turn around and sue for the least little scratch that resulted.

Obviously subby doesn't know what happens to the bulls at the end of the run.

I've been to San Fermin. It was a mistake.

Mateorocks: I've been to San Fermin. It was a mistake.

Me too, it wasn't.

It was refreshing to see that many people getting together and having fun and not seeing anyone get stabbed/shot/beaten. Everyone who does get hurt knows what he/she is getting into. Luckily i didn't get hurt.
