Anyone have any idea what happened to Massa's car? It failed in the braking zone of turn 1 on lap 4.

The tires are of a non-exploding but also non-attaching variety.

Still wondering that myself. It's a shame; I like Massa a lot more than Fernandouche Alonso.

I'm also wondering what kind of sorcery has Grosjean in second.

Also...Mercedes is right back to sucking at the tire game, after their cozy practice sessions before Monaco.

Kind of amusing.

GHOST CAR!

Aaaaaaand Bianchi's car is now going faster without him.

lokis_mentor: Bianci Smoking. SC since it's on the straight?

I was about to say "No, since it's on the side of the track," but then it started rolling down hill and was literally on the straight.

/Mark may be able to regain his lap when they say that lapped cars can overtake the safety car

2013-07-07 08:46:32 AM
Well then thats going to cost Marussia alot. freewheeling cars are a bit of a danger

2013-07-07 08:46:44 AM
This race has gone plaid.

I'm wondering how many people were hoping Bianchi's car would missile into Vettel. I just verbed missile. dealwithit.jpg

King Something: Anyone have any idea what happened to Massa's car? It failed in the braking zone of turn 1 on lap 4.

No clue as of yet.  It looked it stalled, could be a gearbox issue, won't really know unless Ferrari says something because f1 has not shown the in car view.

Jensaarai: Hmm. Let's see what Webber can do now.

Well the SC has allowed him to unlap himself.

2013-07-07 08:50:32 AM
And there goes Webber past the safety car...git r dun, Mark! Did the race steward leave the safety car out out of pity for Webber?

2013-07-07 08:50:56 AM
I've got a great idea for a film script, we can call it Carry On car Racing. Bouncing tyres, empty cars going back down the track, a German who isn't liked by his home crowd.

It'll be great, we just need Sid James and Kenneth Willaims as team principles.

In fairness, Vettel's got Grosjean behind him. That's gotta be unsettling.

Well it looks like the real contest is to see who gets fined more, RBR for that bouncing wheel and Marussia for being Marussia.

Mark is back with the pack, SC in this lap

Your scenario was just basically canonized. They told Vettel to be easy on the brakes, which means go faster, which means stay the fark away from Grosjean.

Are you a wizard?

I would say with that tire coming off, Webber served his unsafe penalty.
