Most undeserved grand slam title ever as she got a crazy easy draw.  Biggest name she beat was Sloane Stephens, who only has her rank due to her own ridiculously easy draws and beating an injured Serena Williams.

By comparison, Lisicki beat 3 grand slam champs, including the number one player in the world, and also one of the winners of the grass court tuneups.  Her biggest challenge was her own nerves and not being used to being the favorite.

Just compare their paths:
Bartoli: Svitolina (ranked 82), McHale (ranked 70), Giorgi (ranked 93), Knapp (ranked 104), Stephens (ranked an underserved 17), Flipkens (ranked 20, but over 200 a year ago), and Lisicki (ranked 24).  She should have been embarrassed if she did drop a set.

Lisicki: Schiavone (ranked 45,but 2010 French Open Champ), Vesnina (winner of a tournament that pushed her to 22 after seedings were set), Stosur (Ranked 13, 2011 US Open winner), Williams (number 1 on a 34 match winning streak), Kanepi (ranked 46), and Radwanska (ranked 4, and last year's finalist).

Had Lisicki not been there, and Radwanska or Williams been there, Bartoli would have gotten spanked.
