And, you know... A free throw once in a while.

Now they're saying he was only going back to the Lakers to let them know he was out, so this might have been overblown. But it is Dwight and indecisiveness is sort of his thing. Who the hell knows?

There are a hell of a lot more than just 5 people on the all-douchebag basketball team.

The Decision was still completely stupid, and LeBron deserved criticism for it. The criticism went overboard, but such is life.

In Dwight's defense, ESPN was trying to report and take credit for what Yahoo, CBS, Fox Sports, The Sporting News, local media, and others had already reported.  Things probably got a little confusing for them.

Anyone emotionally invested in Howard must have been in a coma for the last two years.

People also forget that lebron actually let Cleveland think they had a shot at the announcement as well. Lebron still pulls the douchiest of all time.

Especially Chris Broussard and his "sources". He's a moron at the best of times but he really screwed the pooch this time.

I actually like the Rockets but I hope Howard never wins a title, most overrated center of ALL TIME. Learn some post moves douche bag and stop being a diva.

Are we still talking about The Decision? shiat, all he did was raised 2.5 mil for charity at the expense of the precious feelings of a bunch of socksniffers, and those feelings are worth nothing.

Damn, three Dwight Howard threads about his indecisiveness, yet no Wimbledon threads even though a great match was played today.  Thanks for the fair and balanced approach to sports Fark.

It's definitely Houston. Now they're trying to add Josh Smith, for some reason.

Or Ryan Anderson, who would make way more sense.

I think tennis sucks but as an NBA fan on Fark I do feel for you, we barely get any respect on this site and basketball is a top 2 or 3 sport in the US (maybe top 2 or 3 in the world). I will say this, if you post the links then it might change, a lot of NBA playoff threads were never posted because no one bothered to post a link.

This is a case where the majority has made an accurate assessment. Tennis, like bowling and golf, is fun to  play.

I'm shocked Broussard still has a job. I can't recall any story he's ever broken and been correct on. At best, he simply plagarizes Woj. Maybe that's all he's paid to do, copy others and declare it his own original work.

They are taking the blueprint the Jets use and running with it. "We know we aren't going to win shiat, so let's see how big of trainwreck we can create so we're on Sportscenter everyday and ESPN radio 24/7"

Hey now Dwight is pretty great. He made it to the Finals that one year...I don't remember how it turned out but he was there. And he's like .5 blocks a game better than the next best center...when he's healthy...and not trying to get his coach fired. And, uh, on offense he can really...dunk.

As one person mentioned above, I find myself blaming the ineptitude of Chris Broussard for the 50/50 waffling report.  Perhaps I am ignoring Occam's Razor and trying to build Occam's Laser, but I imagine Broussard heard from a "source" that Dwight was on a plane to LA, and Broussard, or both he and the "source," decided this meant Howard was now BACK TO 50/50 UNDECIDED OMG! when in reality he was just flying back to tell them he was leaving the organization in person.

Long story short, I believe Broussard is a hackosaurus.  But yes, to preempt certain responses, Howard is clearly still a petulant diva.

Broussard and Alex Kennedy were just doing the bidding of Dwight's agent, who was butthurt that the news was leaked out before Dwight could announce it on Twitter. Blame his agent for being an ass.

Yeah but now we're going to suck for ages, which makes me feel terrible for dirk. As a fan the only playoff worthy team in the metroplex is the rangers and they're looking a lot more mediocre than they have for the last few years. Dallas sports is about to be not so hot for a long time I think.

As an Orlando fan, I'm glad that they got to the Finals in what will be his last good season (2009) as back injuries and bigs don't mix.

I find it hilarious that Howard wants to "create his own story", so he goes to a franchise that has 2 championships on the back of Hakeem, one of the best centers in the history of the game (I think he is pretty underrated when people talk about "the greats").

MJ over Starbury, and it's not close.

Starbury was a giant epic DB, but he's become a different kind of person playing in the CBA. It's the sort of redemption we should cheer for.

Indeed. I don't think there's been a center with a better offensive game in NBA history. Plus he destroyed Robinson in the post season.

/Wilt might have scored more, but his game wouldn't have translated to the 90s, so I say Hakeem was a better offensives center.

What I love about all this is the fact that Mike_LowELL never actually said it was a list of anything in particular.

Oh wait no, I forgot he gets a pass on everything he's ever done while LeBron makes panties bunch by eating crackers.

Oh, please. What's the worst thing LeBron did? Make a shiatload of money for the Cavs and the city of Cleveland? Singlehandedly lift a roster of nobodies (http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/CLE/2007.html) to the NBA Finals? Turn Cleveland from a punchline into a title contender? And at least 'The Decision' raised money for charity.

If you want 'epic douchebaggy-egotism,' look no further than Dan Gilbert - a guy who made a fortune off of LeBron then had the audacity to throw a hissyfit when LeBron made a business decision to play for a team that was good enough to win a title, something the Cavs had 7 years (7 YEARS!) to do and consistently failed at. Cleveland fans aren't entitled to LeBron's services, though for some reason they're under the impression they are.

Cleveland sports fans (and their apologists) can eat shiat in general. I'm glad the Browns finally won two Super Bowls and that they had the decency to do it in Baltimore instead.

I think the Stars are on their way back now that they fired Newy and got a real GM. I also have a good feeling about the Cowboys and I'm always pessimistic about them. The Rangers are also doing fine, just be glad you aren't a Cleveland or Buffalo sports fan.
