Did he destroy half the town to do it?

The weirdest part of Zod was that I had seen the same actor as a clam fisherman in Arkansas in the movie Mud the day before.  Talk about different roles!

When did that happen?

I'm glad to see there are still stores out there giving work opportunities to the disabled.  What? he's not disabled? are you sure?

£70 of bacon

Seventy *pounds* of bacon... no wonder he caught him, that's a lot of bacon to be carrying.

Incidentally, kudos to this kid, but after looking at the pipe cleaners he calls arms and realizing he's a security guard...

I'm thinking I could move to England and be an unstoppable superhero/villian there.

You would think the brits would use a character that was born there. Not one from Russia.

/Red Son.

You might certainly be bulkier than they, but most likely not as fit.  Those sonsofbiatches walk everywhere and on average are in much better shape than well...most likely you*.
On balance though, most of them smoke and are also functioning alcoholics.  You being a Farker means this is likely a wash.

* This isn't ad hominem.  If you are American there is a better than a 65% chance that you are over weight and a 37% chance you are acutely obese.

I know there is not much sun in England but Superman needs to catch some rays.

This. Looks like he also didn't cause the deaths of hundreds more by throwing him through a gas station or skyscraper.

Can Superman tan?

Always sort of wondered this. If his body's impervious to almost anything except kryptonite, then UV light shouldn't have any effect on him. Right?

Wondered the same thing about the immortals in Highlander.

Regarding the guy in the article--yeah, he is sort of pasty. But then so am I so I can't hold it against him.

I always wondered how he shaves.

I thought I once read that he can very quickly rub his own hands across his face to shave himself. Of course that might be dangerous if he rubs any other part of his body so quickly...

I think he could use "super slobber" and Superdude would be OK.

das_klaun: Who else thinks this story sounds familiar?

It reminded me more of the story a few years ago where a guy came home from a costume party dressed as Thor & found an intruder in his house. Guy was like, ''Well, I *am* dressed as Thor...'' and threw him out of a window.

TastyEloi - Can Superman tan?

Superman gets his powers from the yellow sun we have in our sky. He absorbs the suns rays. Therefore, he really cannot tan in the normal sense, but since his Kryptonian skin is very pale anyway, that guy looks about right.

/the character was created by two Jewish teens who were obviously thinking that no one would believe an olive-skinned hero... thence the WASP look

So exactly how much bacon is in each pack?

IDK, but around here it's $4# so either it's some big packs or bacon is outrageously expensive there.

IIRC, immortals aren't impervious to stuff. They can still get drunk, get paper cuts, get sunburns, and a wicked case case of the poops from Taco Bell. But they heal a lot faster and don't stay dead. So an immortal would lose his/her tan faster once they got out of and stayed out of the sun.
