redmid17: lokisbong: redmid17: lokisbong: fark yeah lady! Good for her. If the rescuer says it's to deep for her to stand what makes you think the water is only a foot deep redmid17?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperbole

You can see from the photos she is almost over his head deep before she even reaches him. that clearly say unless she is only two feet tall you are full of shiat!

I feel like you don't know what hyperbole is or how to click a link...

And here I thought you were claiming the hyperbole was being used the article. I know exactly what the word means I just thought you were claiming the article was using it not you especially since you didn't link to that until after my response to your comment..

I was using hyperbole. It's a commonly used rhetorical device. I used it to evoke strong feelings, but it's not meant to be taken literally.

Wow. It's rarely that I do the "marry me" thing for random acts of awesome, but this lady is really farking awesome. She was in the water like a shot AND made a big deal about getting the kid to a doctor or hospital ASAP (dry drowning, yah?). I like her.

HotWingAgenda: Who intentionally takes an engagement photo with someone else's kids in the background?

Came here to say this.  The photographer is an idiot for even thinking this might be a good idea.

Wow, what a hero!  It's only been a few hours and Oregon has made Salmon a state symbol, Portland named a street Salmon and a home owner even set up a sculpture of Salmon on that street!
