At least it wasn't recorded in portrait mode.

I like how the cat puts the thing down, then jumps through the hole, probably thinking "OK, the force field is down, now let me go back and bring my prize in"

With 3 cats in our house, we don't have rodents, but some of my cats have a history of bringing me "prizes" - currently, one of our cats drags random pieces of clothing he finds on our son's upstairs bedroom floor and leaves them outside of our bedroom door in the middle of the night. It is the only time he ever meows, too. Years ago, when I lived in South Carolina, I had a cat who would capture roaches and palmetto bugs, "de-leg" them, and leave their wiggling, leg-less bodies on the foot of our bed.

People with cat doors are braver than I.

Turn it sideways!  Turn it sideways!

Admit it!  You were urging the cat to do that.

Oh my God look what the cat dragged in.

Not sure, but I think cats use the extent of their whiskers to judge clearance. If whiskers clear the opening, then the cat and anything it's carrying fits through the opening, says cat brain.

One of our cats dropped a live mouse on my chest while we were sleeping one night, about 12 years ago.  My wife still tells the story like she wasn't there screaming along with me.  I threw a blanket over it and beat it to death while squealing like a 4 year old girl.

I slept in the family room for a week afterward, and that cat didn't get any treats from me for the rest of his life.

My cat does the opposite.  I'm always finding cricket legs in the office.

I tell my cat that he doesn't love me because he NEVER brings me any treats.

My cat prefers to bring me live things.  So far it's 3 rabbits, 1 mole, a countless number of lizards and 2... count them, TWO live pigeons.

/sigh

I like this one better.

You're a mammal, you son of a biatch. Use your brain and stop embarrassing the rest of us.
