Police and fire crews are still working to determine exactly what caused the sinkhole to open up

Is 'Because it's Detroit' a cause?

Here's a disturbing list of sinkholes that appeared out of nowhere. I know I'm gonna sleep good tonight.

A street named Detroit in Toledo.

Might as well just raze that whole neighborhood. Nothing good can come from it.

Who the hell is planting pitfall seeds in Detroit?

Any sinkhole you can walk away from is a good sinkhole

Bad on subby for making me think you had a sinkhole story from where I used to live.

Plenty of sinkhole stories in East Texas.

The street name is Detroit but it's in Toledo and the driver's name is Knox... Would've been much easier to figure all that out if they put the location at the top of the story.

It's funny because I used to process the bill from the water utility for my office.  There was now way we were using that amount of water in my building, so I talked to the plumbers about it.  They said that they had to leave to downstairs toilet running so it wouldn't freeze and couldn't fix the problem.  Just keep paying the bill.  I think there's a leak in the pipe and likely a big sinkhole in our future.  However they say that all the water is coming from the leaking toilet.  I guess that the size of my pipe was too small to fix, however when the snow-making pipes fail IT'S A REALLY BIG DEAL!

/so we just keep paying for clear water flowing into the creek, quarterly, forever.
//$500/mo adds up to serious money after a while
///probably been that way for over 10 years
////I've read that at least 1/3 of a creek/river runs underneath the ground/streambed.  It probably gets pretty wide, like wider than the creek/river
//sorry for 5 slashies, but between the leak and the creek/river is the plumbers shop which is likely to sink

Not me, I would have just levitated.

While levitation in cool, since im just a gambling vagabond who finds freedom from society's narrow views of morality aboard my airship, the Blackjack, simply flying all the time lets me avoid the sinkhole pandemic entirely. Purple Octopi that are capable of flight on the other hand...

Hey, it was a reasonable mistake.  You see Detroit and sink-hole in the same sentence, we just assume it's the one you live in.
