Came here to say this.  And it's far less strange than the doping ban of equestrian Eric Lamaze, when it's not even the athlete that was tested and found guilty of using illegal substances in that case.

I liked the world better before drug testing existed.  It was a much nicer place back then.

Pebbling an ice surface for maximum slippiness, putting a piece of teflon on one foot, and attaching a bar to the playing area can indeed end in a concussion.  I've seen it.

Anyone who thinks curling isn't physically challenging hasn't played it.  Grinding down a pebbled ice surface with what amounts to a soft sponge on a stick is not the easiest thing in the world.

It also would potetially help with throwing the big weight shots. There is a reason you see them far more often from the men than women.

I attended that World Championship. I could tell that guy was juicing.
