We've gone over this enough that it's not really funny any more. Hemp and pot are not the same thing.

Nope, but the DEA and USGov overlook a crucial fact: Hemp and Marijuana are related species. Hemp has many beneficial qualities, including the fact that time and time again when it's planted, it cross-breeds with Marijuana plants, producing a hybrid with lower THC levels. A few generations of cross-pollination and weed will be so weak as to be of little narcotic effect.

My parents live in Nelson BC. Voted most Marijuana friendly town in North America by NORML Magazine. At one point there was a guy growing hemp. He got approached by farmers of the other variety asking politely to cease with his growing as they were cross-polinating and affecting their crops.
Don't know about the pot-friendly part but definitely drum-circle and dread-lock friendly.
