Nadie_AZ: Why did gas prices rise the last time Egypt decided it hated its American Puppet?
Cythraul: HuffPo is full of shiat.
Shostie: They had pretty extensive coverage on NPR yesterday afternoon and this morning.
NewportBarGuy: Cythraul: HuffPo is full of shiat.I think they are referring to the news hours of 9-5.All the rest of that cable crap is opinion hours.Huge fan of Rachel, and I do consider her show as news, but it is driven by her own opinions. What she chooses. She backs up her stuff with facts, but she is smart and worldly, so she wants to cover BIG news that impacts the world. Whilst the corporatist "real news" wants to sell advertising. So, they tell us about the Kardashians and Zimmerman.
Cythraul: If that's what they mean, then HP may have a point.
Onkel Buck: Didn't they just make history a little while ago for doing the same shiat? Talk about one trick ponies
Elroydb: Protest first elected dictator.
LessO2: Extent of what Americans know about Egyptians:
Profedius: Nadie_AZ: Why did gas prices rise the last time Egypt decided it hated its American Puppet? The Suez Canal. They don't want to cover it, because they don't want to give the American people any ideas as to what we can do about this messed up government.

Cythraul: You really want to give the U.S. military the ability to oust our President?
eddievercetti: It's Not News, This is CNN.
Satanic_Hamster: When Egypt "fell" and the "Muslims" took "over," Fox news was all like OMG OBAMA'S MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD PALS ARE TAKIN GOVER LIKE PLANNED.You'd think they'd be covering the heck out of the protests against him. Of course, that doesn't fit their narrative of all Muslims being bad evil people.
vpb: Cythraul: You really want to give the U.S. military the ability to oust our President?I know people who do.
Gonz: I watch CBS News almost nightly. They had a nice little piece on this, explained the story succinctly, and moved on.24 hour cable news is bad for you. We should all watch less of it.
Mose: I agree with most of what you say about Maddow, but she ruins it all with the smug, smarmy delivery.
durbnpoisn: The news coverage on this is so bad that I don't even understand what the problem is. For one thing, the President of the country is standing there saying, "I'm not stepping down! I was elected in a fair election", while meanwhile, millions of citizens and the military that is supposed to defend him is say, "Bullshiat!!"So, how did this guy get elected in a fair and democratic election? And why is he being so defiant about stepping down?
Mose: Funny. I agree with most of what you say about Maddow, but she ruins it all with the smug, smarmy delivery. I suppose it makes her edgy and appealing to young viewers (off my lawn/dirt/weeds!) but it totally turns me off. Can't watch. Trying too had to be Jon Stewart.
