So I guess those political activist Tea Party groups get to keep pretending that they are social welfare organizations?

Really? Even after we found out that the only reason the IG looked at only conservative groups is because Issa told them to?

And that they're bi-partisans who go after both sides equally.

Yet somehow, when they get examined, it's all "OMFG! THE FBI'S TARGETING CONSERVATIVE GROUPS!!!! IT'S LIKE NAZIS AND 1984!!!!!!"

F*ck them.

It's news Republicans do to make themselves feel better.

I think its like The Onion or The Daily Show, but for conservatives.

2013-07-03 08:00:11 AM
I'd rather they focus on crimes that represent an imminent danger to people's lives and the financial well-being of the country.  If we want them to focus on priorities much lower than that, then we should probably increase funding to match the demands.

I once had to provide the IRS with some additional documentation on a deduction I claimed on an income tax return.  I rounded up what I had and sent it to them and they let me keep the deduction.  It was worse than ten holocausts and five Justin Bieber concerts.  I should call the nation's top law enforcement agency and demand they look into this because I'm pretty sure the Chocodile in Chief purposefully singled me out and like such as.

Guess that should have been "non-partisans". Oh, well. The other one kinda works, too.

I had to produce a receipt once for a computer I claimed as a deduction (since I use it to make my living from home). I couldn't find it, so they took my house and car and froze my bank account and put me in Guantanamo. But then I told them I voted for Obama, so they let me out and bought me a new house and a Ferrari and gave me a bunch of money. So it turned out OK, I guess.

But seriously, it never actually happened. The IG report was designed to find one result only, the one Issa wanted.

The only scandal is that teabag groups like the one in the article are getting away with their tax scam.

I got a new job out of state once and after I got to my new location, I moved twice in 3 months before I was settled. My W-4 from my previous position didn't find me in time so I used my last pay stub from my previous job when figuring my gross income from my previous job.Unfortunately, I used my second to last pay stub by mistake so the income I declared was one paycheck lower than what my previous employer reported. Also, since I didn't include a W-4 for my previous job, the IRS assumed I didn't declare any income from my old job.

The IRS sent me a letter letting me know about the discrepancy.I sent them a letter describing the situation with supporting documentation. They redid my taxes for me and found that I was due an additional $1,200 refund so the IRS sent me a check.

The moral of a the story is you have nothing to worry about if you did nothing wrong.

1. Conservatives lose their shiat about how "Obama is using the IRS to crush Tea Party groups"
2. Investigation shows that Obama had nothing to do with the one IRS group in question
3. Further investigation shows that the groups weren't being denied out of hand, just that their applications were given greater scrutiny
4. Further investigation shows that it wasn't just Tea Party groups but left wing applications as well
5. Approved Tea party "non-profit" group fails to report political spending which may put them in violation of the terms of their tax exempt status which is just the sort of thing the IRS was looking for.
6.  Now add just about every other "scandal" over the past six years

Can you understand why conservatives no longer have any credibility outside of their hermetically sealed information bubble?

There's nothing "fascist" about the IRS scrutinizing to assure that the 501 status is warranted, especially when liberal groups have also lost or were denied that same status. It could have been handled better, but since when have the IRS been known for having a gentle touch with anyone? Next time you're audited come back here and tell us what a pleasant experience it was.

Secondly, there's nothing suggesting that Obama personally called up the IRS and said, "I'm feeling bored today. How 'bout we go fark up some Tea Partiers?" It's not that the politics tab is defending Obama at all costs; it's that you folks are constantly barking up the wrong trees. Show me some evidence (of any malfeasance) and this liberal will be the first in line to call for Obama's head.

Finally, what the f*ck is this "effectively state-run media" bullsh*t? Will you explain how you arrive at that conclusion, or is it just another cop-out people like you use when don't have a valid argument.

I will give points for managing to use fascism and "oh noes liberal media" in just one paragraph. If you're playing Glenn Beck bingo, you're gonna win this round!

See: Wayne Allyn Root on the Daily Show patiently explaining to ignornant black, Hispanic, and Muslim victims of police profiling that the threat of injury and incarceration is a walk in the park compared to the threat of an auditor saying you owe back taxes + fines (since it could cost you your multi-million dollar business, and these individuals were spared such a concern since they did not even own such businesses to have to worry about).

Well, even NRO/WND are part of the liberal lamestream MSM now for not covering the evil attacks of the IRS on the Teaparty everyday, so they have to get a post from a joke of a blog now.

2013-07-03 09:23:32 AM
I just posted on that site and got attacked by a pack of retarded tea party war dogs.  One of them went and even said that Planned Parenthood existed to get rid of the "undesireables".  I was wowed by the level of racism, hypocrisy and cognitive disonance displayed by the contributors to that sight.   You could beat them with a phonebook of facts and leave them on the floor and they would not give an inch no matter how wrong they are.   NOT ONE INCH...it's worse than arguing with your girlfriend.
