Haven't been in WI in a dozen years or more.  Sorry, this woulda been fixed if I'd gotten that job a couple years ago...

On average, each American over the age of 21 drank a little less than one 12-ounce beer per day in 2012,

Hurray! I'm above average at something!

There really is a lot of great stuff in WI.  I don't live there, but I visit at least 2 times a year and try to drink that state dry.  Currently drinking beer out of a Milwaukee Brewing co glass brought back from a trip I hardly remember.

I would be afraid to find out what my average consumption of beer per day would be...some days it's 0 and some days it's like 15.  I am sure North Carolina is real proud of me.

Does North Carolina still have that "you can only buy 9 cases of beer at a time law". I hated that law in college.

Sure does but you can get unlimited kegs...not that I ever do that.

The New Hampshire numbers are skewed because it's based on sales volume vs population. Everyone there knows that NH has the lowest alcohol taxes and beer prices in New England, plus no sales tax or deposit either. A huge amount of those sales go to non-residents driving over the border to shop, especially people from Massachusetts.

Does Sprecher's Hard Root Beer count? (It is brewed and about 4% abv) That stuff is really tasty and smooth and makes a great RB float.

I bought some of that, I hate it! What's wrong with me! I guess it is real popular though.

Had some of that Ian's pizza for the first time tonight! Even left over from lunch it was delicious. I'm not poor, but I usually eat and drink like I am.

Gonna have to agree with that one. Goddamn kids around here get an early start.

Try to do my part both with Leinies and brandy old fashioned's.

I live out here but I mostly stick with harder stuff

And probably all other hard booze. I know more whiskey drinkers than beer drinkings in Wisconsin. Give me a Brandy old fashion, a glass a Jameson or a Bloody Mary over beer.

I can only drink so much Spotted Cow every weekend. Leinies is too mainstream now a days. Also I purchase a growler of different beer from a local brewery every 2 weeks or so. If ever in GB, I recommend Titletown Brewery. Besides the great beer, the food is awesome.

2013-07-02 11:48:32 PM

Let's face it, there's not a lot to do out there. And I say this while harboring a definite craving to move to Montana. It helps that I heard they have good internet, and that I already own most of the outdoorsy equipment I would need.

Also I'm doing my part to bring up NY, but at $8-$12 for a craft beer six pack, the budget doesn't go nearly as far as it does on the swill from A-B.

Im doing my part to try and make sure we keep up with Drew

Though we may occasionally fall out of the top consumption ranking, we're always #1 in availability, and that's what counts.
