PickleBarrel: You know how I can tell noone read the article?  The officer that was fired was the one driving the speeding SUV. The governor was in the back seat.

But don't let me get in the way of a great politician "privilege" bashing thread.

oh, and try reading the FIRST F*CKING PARAGRAPH OF THE ARTICLE:

The removal from duty of a prominent Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation agent came five days after he encouraged Iowa State Patrol troopers to pull over a speeding vehicle that, it turns out, contained Gov. Terry Branstad, records obtained by The Des Moines Register show.

I don't see any problems with the Gov being pulled over.  They are not above the law (my naive self would say).

Habitual power abuser.  His son has two DUI's.  Killed two elderly people in a DUI related car accident while driving the campaign van.   http://www.topix.com/forum/city/des-moines-ia/T56VPCJ5OSN8SP7GV   Never did a day of time.

Now he is back at it, whippin down the highway 20 mph over the speed limit.  I would get my license taken away on the spot for it.  He gets the officer fired.

Both he and his son need to pay their dues like the rest of us.
