If they don't get you to the hospital, you don't have to pay them.

Another good reason not to give just anyone a gun.

I doubt it could be any dirtier than the paramedics underwear.

When I see three men dressed in scrubs stabbing needles into a woman at the convenience store, I shoot the bastards.

Those EMT's are better human beings than I am. I would have opened the back doors and left her trigger-happy ass in the road.

Aw, be fair, subby, she was having some pretty severe seizures, per TFA, bad enough that she's in critical condition.  If your brain's misfiring to that extent, you can't really be held entirely responsible for your actions. (Although, if she has a history of these seizures, you kinda wonder what she was doing with a handgun.)

I've watched my fiance, who's an epileptic with glaucoma and only one good eye,buy a .410 from Walmart and they didn't even bat a farking eye. I'm standing there thinking "Holy shiat really?" He can't legally drive due to his vision and seizures but he can own guns? He really wants a handgun but after his last vision test, where he could only make out the giant E,I don't think that's such a great idea. Awww lol this nation is wacky as fark.

Because everyone deserves a gun, even those the government might want to put on a list of "undesirables". And any legislation that keeps a gun out of the hands of even one patriot is denying the basic freedoms afforded by the Bill of Rights.

I went to college with a guy who qualified for a handicap parking permit via his visual impairment.

In that case better get him a shotgun.

I went to college with a guy who qualified for a handicap parking permit via his visual impairment.

Knew a legally-blind guy who could find solder bridges on printed circuit boards. He didn't drive.

Know a guy who had to give up bus driving due to a visual-system issue. Still drives a car.

Seen lettered on the back of a van belonging to an installer of window shades and awnings: Blind Man Driving.

Practitioners of Spontan-O-Twitch probably shouldn't handle firearms.

No worries. There are mental health patients that take handfuls of meds daily driving on your streets and highways along with drunks, stoners, noobs, heart attacks waiting to happen, car thieves, people that haven't slept properly in two weeks and seniors that should have sold their cars 20 years ago. Happy Motoring!

Hard to fault. I was in an extreme medical condition that included hallucinations. I took swings at both the paramedics and doctors who were trying to help me. I imagined that the naso-gastric tube they were inserting was tipped with fishhooks, and they would rip it out at the last moment, shredding my esophagus.

A .410 IS a shotgun. It's the smallest commonly-used size, and the only one that (inexplicably) uses a caliber designation rather than a gauge, but a shotgun it is.

Not that uncommon, unfortunately.  I don't suppose you can expect people to be all calm and collected when they're scared and don't know what you're doing to them!  Especially if they're sticking things in your nose while you're conscious, that can't be fun.

/Got contacts mostly because regular glasses aren't a good idea when they're broken and getting mashed into your face.  Wasn't an EMS patient that convinced me of that, it was a firefighter accidentally elbowing me in the dangly-metal-bits, but still.

I'm planning in my next session that they infiltrate a morgue via bodybag. Yes it's ripping off the snes game a bit but they won't have amnesia.

I think my dad is developing Alzheimer's and he drives and has TONS of guns. So many family collectables, plus his own new ones. He applied for a concealed carry a few years back. So many potential horror stories!
