Oops.
But where else was the court sending those images to?

sure - "accidentally"

ManateeGag: sure - "accidentally"

He won't be needing them anytime soon.

I have no doubt the credit bureaus and other relevant agencies are already aware of this.  Still something that shouldn't have happened, but I doubt anything will come of it.

2013-07-01 05:13:43 PM
It appears we know who is footing the bill for Zimmerman's defense now.

2013-07-01 05:24:31 PM
He's lucky.  If it hadn't been CNN, someone might have seen them.

2013-07-01 05:25:09 PM
DRINK!

/on Zimmerman

"Friends, recently a man on trial for murder had his social security number broadcast live on CNN.  Are you protected from such events?  Try out Lifelock now.  Use the offer code LUSH for a 20% discount."

2013-07-01 05:33:42 PM
And yet, CNN will still be allowed in courtrooms.

2013-07-01 05:34:16 PM
He better call 1-800-LifeLock STAT!

2013-07-01 05:35:33 PM
It's not news, It's CNN

Ted Turner just had a cold shiver spasm down his back.

He might have cashed out a long time ago, but it's still gotta hurt. Like seeing the child you raised from a wee infant out cadging smokes for blowjobs at a rest stop.

CNN accidentally broadcasts George Zimmerman's social security and phone numbers. What could possibly go wrong?

I keep trying to call the SSN and nothing happens. It doesn't even go to voice mail.

2013-07-01 05:36:47 PM
Just wait for someone to steal your identity then send that guy to jail for shooting the kid, they call that a win/win.

Obviously, he'll enjoy every slice of pizza sent. I'd even go so far as to say, his wife will enjoy some slices too.

propasaurus: He won't be needing them anytime soon.

With the book deals when he gets off he'll be able to buy a new SSN

2013-07-01 05:37:40 PM
So I guess CNN will now be paying for his defense

2013-07-01 05:37:48 PM
It shouldn't matter. The law says that you can't use the SSN for identification purposes. What are the chances that someone will file for SS benefits using his name? It's not like someone can steal his whole identity.

2013-07-01 05:37:51 PM
What identity thief would steal that particular identity?

/3. profit?

Hey, fun fact: Fark filters out such information from posts. Like this: XXX-XX-XXXX.

2013-07-01 05:38:16 PM
Oh noes! Now Zimmerman has suffered exactly as much as Trayvon Martin and his family did, so they're all even.
/Not even close.

2013-07-01 05:39:32 PM
Accident my ass.  Between this and NBC 'accidentally' adding racial slurs into the 911 phone call, we see what scum the mass media outlets are.

I don't know what I think of Zimmerman. He shouldn't have followed Martin after the 911 operator told him to stand down, but this 'white' Latino guy will never have a fair chance.

2013-07-01 05:39:42 PM
I especially like the part when he says the person screaming for help doesn't even sound like him....

It's as if he can't keep his story straight, you know, because he's so totally telling the truth.

2013-07-01 05:39:43 PM
Wait til they interview all the jurors in the shower, using the new steam free lens.

2013-07-01 05:40:31 PM
I wonder if this happened on all of the live streams of the trial

You're doing it wrong!

2013-07-01 05:41:02 PM
Why would anyone want his identity? He's a douchenozzle.

propasaurus: He won't be needing them anytime soon.

Based on the incompetence being displayed by the prosecution's opening days, I'd say he has little to worry about.  What a freak show.

Herr Docktor Heinrich Wisenheimer: Oh noes! Now Zimmerman has suffered exactly as much as Trayvon Martin and his family did, so they're all even.

Death sucks, but being railroaded into trumped up charges by a prosecutor who seemingly uses the code of ethics for toilet paper isn't a walk in the park, either.

2013-07-01 05:41:46 PM
Aww, a thread full of people who aren't watching the trial and still think Zimmerman might be found guilty.

2013-07-01 05:42:04 PM
Can they air the fact that the guy is hispanic too? Or are they making him white to avoid hispanic/black racial tensions?

2013-07-01 05:42:07 PM
Since it's CNN it was probably Wolf Blitzer's SSN.

2013-07-01 05:42:19 PM

sobriquet by any other name: XXX-XX-XXXX did it work, george? did it, huh? huh??

Sure did, Jenny.

2013-07-01 05:42:34 PM
Accidently on purpose if you ask me.

2013-07-01 05:42:40 PM
Looks like Zimmerman will have a nice payday once he's acquitted and he's immune from civil liabilities over Trayvon's death if/when acquitted due to Florida's laws.

I hope you are never subjected to this before you are even found guilty of a crime, you Nazi.

See what I did?

Police dept. provides document to court, court clerk does not properly redact, it enters the court files un-redacted where it is a PUBLIC DOCUMENT.  CNN gets it and publishes.  Yeah they're dumbasses for doing it, but their negligence will likely be mitigated by the fact they were given a document that should have been redacted already.

857-63-0985 Ha ha! None of you can see that. It's my real soc.

It's CNN. They were probably a digit or two off anyway.

Of course!

Audio and video recordings of criminal trials should not be released until well after sentencing. The fact that our courtrooms have become "reality TV" really grinds my gears.

So the state of FL will end up footing the bill for both the prosecution and the defense.

Right, because soooo many businesses are soooo good about using more than just name and SS for identification and account access. A determined person could absolutely do damage with this information.

Airing this is farking criminal.

2013-07-01 05:45:10 PM
I tried to use a SS number I saw on the internet and all of a sudden, I was accused of murder.

What do you have against an open and transparent judicial system? i think all trials and the SCOTUS should have cameras running non stop. Hell, I'd vote for cameras in the jury room to be released 6-12 months after the trial is over so you can see how they came to a decision.
