Pass.

I like my Batman in-shape, intimidating, and badass. Leave the one-liners to Spidey.

Even as someone who watched this religiously as a kid, no thanks.

I'll just keep following Adam West on Facebook, where he continues to be awesome.

Have to admit, 1966 really was a Golden Age of TV. Batman, The Munsters, The Monkees, Star Trek. Surprised any kid in the mid-60's ever went outside.

So have they sorted out the rights to the TV show yet?

I'm sorry, I just don't get the reverence for this show.  Sure, I watched it as a kid, but even then I realized it was kinda stupid and crappy.

This just seems like Hipster Batman now, and as such, must be destroyed.

we weren't allowed to watch TV all the time. parents still ruled the roost in those days.

It was supposed to be stupid and crappy and ridiculous and preposterous, all the while pretending to be astonishing adventure.  It was, at heart, a comedy show; an over-the-top farce played straight.  Then again, funny is in the eye of the beholder; some people like the Three Stooges, other people can't stand them.
