Based on the fact that he was at the helm during every single fark-up Microsoft made regarding the Xbox1, I'm gonna guess he isn't willingly moving out.

Now why Zynga would offer him a job is beyond me.

/He looks like Kenneth Parcell 2.0

Things are so bad at Zynga that their stock actually went up on the announcement.

XBox is the Titanic, Zynga is the Hindenburg, moran.

I came in for more juicy MS retardedness, then I saw Zynga and went 'oh, this is dumb'.  Very disappointed.

Zynga and Mr PunchableFace over there are made for each other.  Just wait; soon all of Zynga's games are going to require an active webcam to uh, not watch you and masturbate, definitely not to watch you as we masturbate.

Good luck with that, I hope being the fall guy pays well.

cman: XBox is the Titanic, Zynga is the Hindenburg, moran.

No Zynga is the Titanic. Not a bad idea and full of tested technology but then they let hubris get the best of them and tried to build a monster.

The XBox is definitely the Hindenburg. It looks majestic from a distance but up close you realize it's a terrible design and should never have been built in the first place. And much like a hydrogen airship would it really surprise anyone if the XBox burst into flames sporadically? Also both are full of Nazis.

This is absolutely disgusting.  There needs to be a law that you can sue consumers that do not buy, promote, or speak kindly of your product.  You imbeciles just cost this guy his job.  You damaged the ability for America to compete in the global market.  You damaged capitalism.

Nah, the X-Box was just a flash in the pan. There's no way an american company could have kept rolling out halfway decent ideas in the video game market for that long anyway.

I would hardly count Microsoft as a tragedy even if they've had problems with with XBox and W8 recently. That company is still a cash cow and making better profits than Zynga.

Look if the internet didn't exist no one would have found out about this asshole's plans to put a surveillance system in every American home or how he wanted to slice the throats of every poor kid who can't afford new games or the saintly companies like gamestop that sold to the underprivileged.  Clearly we need to stop this internet thing because it hurts America any more.

A common liberal argument.  The free market is only truly free when corporations are free to impose their will on the market.  That is why they call it the free market, that the market is free to do as they please.  Not the consumer.  In a truly free market, there is only consumer slavery.

I can't even imagine the state of total panic the MS games division must be in right now. My god, I'd love to see what those pre-order numbers look like.

How hard is this going to flop? I can't wait to find out.

After how badly Mattrick dropped the ball on XB1's damage control, Zynga's probably the only business in the gaming sector that'll touch him with a ten foot pole. Zynga's most likely banked on the publicity to boost their lagging stock.

I bought a year of xbox live just for the free 12 games as I don't play multiplayer or use my xbox for online media.

I'm okay with this. He's the same smug asshole who remarked that they already offered a product for non-Internet connect people, and that they should keep their 360s.

Don't get me wrong, not a MIcrosoft hater, they have developed some good ideas. The Xbone and all its foolishness wasn't one of them.

And yes, rich people can lose their jobs due to the poor schlubs refusing to give them money. This does not bleed my heart even slightly.

You probably should have known you were going to end up getting crap games and not good games like PS+ gets. It's Microsoft.

figured that even if 3 or 4 of them turn out to be good, it's only $10 each.

/this was my first-ever console, which i bought on black friday. I should have spent the extra $100 for the ps3, but the xbox came with skyrim, which I was going to buy anyway.

You got to admit, nobody would have believed a couple years ago that Sony would have been the company to come to an understanding that making customers happy means more business. That being said, this is the final straw. I am done with Microsoft, not XBOX, all of Microsoft.

Now some here would say Mike's trollin'.  I actually don't on this one instance, I mean sure he's dialled the snark up to about eleventy billion but whatever.

Every time someone screeched about Mass Effect 3 being unalterable due to 'artistic vision', that you do actually want Metro on a non-touch system, or to put it simply the sort of bullshiat you'd expect a paid marketing shill to spout but you're pretty sure it isn't actually a shill you're seeing... this is pretty much what they are screeching.

Mattrick going away from MS is probably the best news MS has had this year.

The decisions and callous disregard for the consumers he had implemented was a true disaster.

I'd like to see J. Allard come back though.

skinink: I would hardly count Microsoft as a tragedy even if they've had problems with with XBox and W8 recently. That company is still a cash cow and making better profits than Zynga.

Microsoft still make money, but it is a HUGE company.  And frankly, that's killing it.

All of microsoft's branches seem to operate like fiefdoms in a large bureaucracy.  They compete against each other.  They bicker and fight and hold innovations close to their vests.

There is no central vision at Microsoft.  No guiding light.  It's a group of automata pushing forward.

Seriously.  What is Microsoft's core product?  Why does it exist for the consumer?  Is it its operating system, Windows 8/Metro/RT, which is universally reviled for trying to bring a phone OS to a computer?  Are they a consumer electronics company with the Xbox?  Are they a server and cloud company?  Search?  Mail?

They may be profitable, but they don't have a reason to exist.  And when things get bad for them, there will be nothing to fall back on, no reason for a consumer to pick Microsoft over an alternative.

He's good at it.  It's not about content... that's close enough for the real thing, and anyone can make others think ill of them...argumentative or retarded troll is easy.
Rarely is a troll just simply fun to read, its usually a selfish act on their part.  This is different, it's almost generous. It's about conveyed attitude, there's a whole subliminal mockery to his work that can be seen, yet, he consistently gets bites, proving that not everyone gets it, even fark veterans sometimes fall for it.

It's an art form really.
