Phillies fans don't care anymore. They are just counting down the days before they can hurl racist slurs at Michael Vick.

WTF Indeed: Phillies fans don't care anymore.

Actually, we care a lot. We care that the person in charge of redoing this mess is the same person who is responsible for it in the first place.

We care.. its just that the Phillies have become the most boring team in all of baseball.  Something snapped with 8 games to go three years ago when they went on that horrid slide prior to the playoffs and the team has never recovered.

Almost all of the players on the team had great defence and made clutch hits.. now when you go to the park all you do is remember how far we have fallen so fast and it seems like no one on the team cares of they win or lose.

I used to go to games and watch the games on tv almost every night (to my wife's dismay).. now all I do is turn to CSN in the morning to watch the low lights and remember how things used to be.

it's time to blow it up and start to rebuild.. or at least put something on the field worth watching.

I don't follow Hey Man on twitter (because of things like that), so I didn't see that until earlier this week, when someone else pointed it out. It's my new favorite thing ever.

One of the Philly sports columnists, about a month ago, wrote a piece actually admitting that he was wrong about the contract. That there's no way it would pan out now. Of course, he also tried to say that "of course, everyone else was on board, too - you know you were", for which the comments section exploded in derision.

Oh yeah, I've seen the "Well, no one really thought it was a bad idea at the time" thing a LOT.

That worked a lot better before the internet.
