So:
Restaurant staff spots someone nursing a baby, demands the mother go to the toilet if she wants to continue, then calls police.  Police arrive and start yelling, order a lockdown and boot other diners from the terrace.  One officer starts fondling his gun and taser, and another suggests there's a bomb.  As they then go to arrest the Europeans for whatever charges they dream up, they find out it's a family of diplomats and realize they're about to make a career ending mistake.  The then back off and explain their behavior by saying that there's often bombs at the country club and that they were just trying to keep people safe.

For some sad reason, I realize that whole thing SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE AMERICA TODAY.

FTFA: Once they were seated, Remans discreetly began to feed her daughter, Luka.

Describe "discreetly". Was it largely hidden from others by having your back turned or wearing a shirt made for breastfeeding? Or was it an activist style 'strip to your panties and sit in the middle of the aisle while growling at anyone who glances in your general direction and refuse to leave until the police show up' breastfeeding? I've heard both types of breastfeeding described as "discreet" by those who practice them, but there is a subtle difference between the two.

FTFA : "You have to understand, this club has had terrorism threats in the past," he said.

That's not surprising, as you seem to go out of your way to piss people off.  It's also not relevant since there was no terrorism used or implied, just a lady feeding her baby.  Breastfeeding has certainly existed far longer than the term "terrorism".

LemSkroob: A Belgian diplomat claims that his family was given the boot from an upscale golf club in White Plains because his wife was breastfeeding at the table during lunch.

Well, shiat, that sucks. I feel bad for these people.

According to Tom Neijens, 36, the members of his family were made to feel like "terrorists" during the incident.

Oh, fark you with a dead dogs dick.

Well, if TFA is at all accurate they did get accused of being terrorists. FSM only knows why, but apparently it happened. The entire story is just a huge "WTF" to me though. I would hope TFA is inaccurate. If not, then everyone at this country club who was involved should be forcibly sterilized for the good of our race.

The useless stubborn old coots just won't give up, will they?

Brains like cement blocks, stuck in the 1940s, when supposedly anything sexual was considered 'DURRDEE'.

Doesn't matter that millions were killed in WW2 during those times; people had RESPECT for what offended others back then.  Oh, and gas was a nickel a gallon.

The stubborn old mules just can't face the fact they'll be pushing up the daisies soon and keep trying to remain relevant forcing their bogus "leave it to Beaver" moralities on everyone.

Don't listen to them. Move ahead, not backwards.

You do realize this isall the Neijens' version of events. Mind you, this is a couple who went into an upscale PRIVATE country club that they were not members of and "requested" that they be served. Since when do upscale private country clubs in New York simple shrug their shoulders and do that. Something is not adding up.  Especially since the source of the story is The Daily Mail.

I know you'd love to turn this into an indictment of american society's take on violence vs sex...but I"m going to go with the much more likely "Stuck up golf club calls local police, who, trying to suck up to stuck up golf club try throwing words like terrorism around to intimidate the breastfeeders and then do a 180 once they get the whole diplomatic immunity speech." angle.

F*cking prudes. Right, a woman "discreetly breastfeeding" (probably with the baby's head under a cloth) freaks you right the f*ck out, but you'll blow your f*cking nose at the table, and God knows what else.

Some of my fellow Americans are embarrassments.

redslippers: A woman can breastfeed "anywhere she is otherwise legally allowed to be".

Google it. I'm on my phone, so its too much of a pain to do it for you.

And I breastfed five. In public, I had no qualms about feeding my children as needed. And I never used a sheet or cover. I also never had anybody react negatively.

It's legal. It's natural. And as long as you aren't slinging your breast over your shoulder feeding a kid on your back National Geographic style, it is hard to do it in a manner where much shows at all.

You terrorist! You child corrupter! You shouldn't even be allowed NEAR a child with those things.

Think of the children.

That was my point - their version of events now sounds completely plausible.  A baby suckling on a foreigners titty can cause police response, evacuations and fear of terrorist attacks.  This is the new normal.  America has become a nation of bedwetters.

Remember, if it's not American flag, it's probably a bomb.

Pissing is biological also. You don't see me exposing myself peeing whenever I have to go or crapping with the door open in a public restroom. If you are breastfeeding, go somewhere that has some privacy, for your sake and others. Why exactly do you have to be in a public space to do this?  Most businesses now over a certain employee count or sqft. have to install nursing/lactation rooms. There is a reason why those are there. If you don't like that, fine then we will get rid of this provision that provides a nice quiet private room for you to do this.
