*sigh* Hammelburg, Subby, Hammelburg. It's not funny if it's about the wrong town.

Historical note: there was a real Stalag 13 (actually Oflag 13B), near the real Hammelburg. It was the target of Task Force Baum, one of General Patton's few failures (but arguably his most spectacular), an attempt at rescuing his son-in-law, John Waters. 90% of the men in the raid were killed or captured, all of the vehicles were lost, and Waters himself was badly wounded (he and Baum actually ended up in the same hospital).
