Judging from the defendant's questions at the end I'd say he's making his choice for a trial based on odds rather than an understanding of how trials work. We are raising a society of idiots...impatient, dangerous, self centered idiots.  And they will be our caregivers as we age.

If someone is williing to murder someone else over a quarter, A QUARTER, I say his hide deserves to rot in jail. That's a time bomb who will make the news some day for a mass murder.

It wasn't the quarter that was the issue it was the disrespect. You can't let another nubian disrespect you are next thing you know you end up somebodies bottom biatch. So to get respect you gotta show them that you aint no biatch.

Let's see... 33rd and Eastern ave... Across from the Kent industrial park.

I'd love to see a blood workup for metals, like lead, and a neurological screening. Grew up next to an industrial park, although the houses look nice. Probably full of lead paint. And plumbing.

I know, we aren't allowed to factor in environmental issues in criminal law. Despite the fact they happen.

Maybe he didn't do it, and he doesn't want to go to jail for 3 years for something he didn't do.

Where be all my grammar nazis!?

FTFA: "The judge asked Harris if he wanted to talk some more with his attorney John Grace, but the defendant said he understood the consequences and wanted to proceed to trail.

The trail is slated to begin Tuesday, July 2."

That's some strong spell checking you did there, chief.

So if you actually want your day in court you'll be forced to pay for it by facing stiffer charges. How about facing the proper charges whether you want your day in court or not? Of course that would require ethics from a court of law so there's little chance of that.
