Meh.  Wake me when they build a full-size Death Star out of Legos.

Wait until some dumbasses break it.

They built another one?
Deja vu?
Oh, just another repeat.

I don't believe it...

Well insamuch as the X-wing is a fictional thing that never actually existed, I'd quiblle with "full size"  , to the extent that it;'s actually a thing, a "full size" x-wing would be the size of the models they used in the PRe-CGI days to shoot the sequences

Are the wings open this time?

Technically, they did climb into full-size X-Wings in Star Wars/A New Hope, not just models.

Didn't they have some "full-size" models in the hangar scenes at the end of "A New Hope," and in some of the scenes on Dagoba in "Empire"?

So, the same size as the full-size model in the movies? They did build the whole X-wing and some other fighter ships at full size. The Millennium Falcon was half-built for the first movie and fully-built but at somewhat reduced scale for the second. The Imperial shuttle was fully built except for the massive wings and fins.

Except that canon has established the "full" size of the X-Wings. They actually mention in TFA that they got the specs from Lucasfilm.

Given the cost of Legos, it probably would be cheaper to try to build a real one.

Yeah, it should be "Literally out of Legos".  Sheesh.

I'd rather have seen them build the actual model to scale, rather than scaling up the scaled down original Legos version.  I mean this is cool, but it could have been much cooler.

Also worth pointing out: this was built by Lego employees for a promotion, not by some nerdy guy in his basement

"...the engineers started sketching. Their solution: a steel substructure, which would be wholly covered in real LEGO bricks to preserve the illusion of LEGO-ness."

Yeah, not really made out of lego, so not as cool as those things that are, Serenity, Death Star Trench, etc.

can this thing fly?  If not, I am not impressed.

I thought his mom told him to take it down so they can use the garage again.

Why did they build a model of the Lego X-Wing and not just a model of the X-Wing made out of legos?

jfarkinB: Nerdfail: posting it again and again.

Also, Boobies.

This one proves it wasn't built totally out of legos and shows the internal armature involved.  So it isn't a repeat.
