You can turn your sleep cycle around pretty quickly with Melatonin, and it's relatively cheap and OTC.

Soulcatcher: You can turn your sleep cycle around pretty quickly with Melatonin, and it's relatively cheap and OTC.

Melatonin builds up, so you get more tolerant of higher and higher doses. My brother takes it almost nightly, but has to stop every few weeks or so to let the tolerance down.

For an acute thing like jet lag? Fire away. I wouldn't recommend taking it more than 2-3 days at a time. Teaching your body to fall asleep without Melatonin, Tylenol PM, Benadryl, a shot (or bottle) of bourbon, your 9th joint of the day, what-have-you...is a better alternative, especially if you can learn how to fall asleep on demand, even at 9am.

F jet lag, what I need is a cure from ever-shrinking space between the rows. I'm only 6' but I have long legs, and any flight over 3 hours starts to become agonizing. And you almost have to strike oil to fly first class.

Apparently subby travels international the same way I do...Drink myself into the appropriate timezone.  Example:  DFW - Hong Kong - 3 sobers and 2 drunks.  Europe is a little less

For some people, apparently, but not all. Certainly not for me.

Also, while I didn't see a citation in TFA, this looks very much like the sort of groundbreaking research I'm accustomed to finding in JPRA (Journal of Press Releases and Astroturfing).

Yes, prickly pear cactus. So exotic it grows wild in 2/3 of the US. It even grows natively in the freakin Catskills in New York
