Chris Paul's only 27, that just doesn't sound right. Seems like he's been in the league forever.  He'll only be 32 when this contract is up, barring catastrophic injury he'll get another payday then.

I'll say it: The Clippers are going to win more games and more playoff games than the Lakers over the next 10 years.

If it helps, his knees are 45. I honestly don't think he's a smart long-term bet. A point guard who can't run isn't very useful.

Cliff is lucky if he is making $40K.

This is the Clips we're talking about, previous history is null and void, Chris Paul is going to suffer some sort of injury that leaves him a shell of his former self.  That's the way these things work.

Thanks.  This is my daily reminder that thousands of people pack into a stadium to watch this man play a game so he gets $107 million. Yet I can't even get the homeless guy up the street to watch me jerk off.  And that's free!
/I gave him a sandwich.

Clippers will not see 56 wins again due to the curse placed on them by Vinny the Negro.

Good luck to Doc Rivers. It will be interesting to see what he can get out of the Clippers.

Unless they make some bonehead personnel moves, they're a playoff lock even in the loaded west for some time to come. I'm not going to say they are a legit Final contender yet, but they could have advanced much farther in the past two years had Vinny Del Negro knew how to actually trim his rotation and actually, you know, coach.

The Pirates have the best record in baseball, the Clippers look to be the preeminent LA NBA franchise and not the Lakers...shiat is getting weird.

Maybe, but I bet they win the exact same number of titles.

Killer Cars: Unless they make some bonehead personnel moves

It's the Clippers. Bet the house, the ranch, and even your sweet bippy they'll make boneheaded personnel moves.

Yeah this.

Chris Paul, while still very good, is not close to what he was at his peak, and he's only going to get worse. Those knees have little, if any cartilage left. Micro fracture surgery will be in his future.

In typical Clipper fashion, I predict he will be out of the league way before this contract is up.

Could not disagree more. They aren't a playoff lock for even next year, much less for "some time to come."

Chris Paul's health is always a question. He's only 28, but an  old 28. Blake Griffin is an all-star, but it's worrisome that he's gotten slightly worse each of his 3 years in the league. He's made almost no progress in his game. Jamal Crawford is a chucker who's really only servicable because Chris Paul finds him in all the right places. Without Paul on the floor, his stats drop dramatically.

I'd also want to see what happens with some pieces the Clips look like they could be dealing soon (Eric Bledsoe, DeAndre Jordan) before handing them a playoff spot.

I was actually somewhat surprised to hear CP3 would return - the rumor is that he can't stand Griffin & Jordan (he doesn't respect their work habits), and that the feeling is mutual (because he often tells them they have crappy work habits).

Vincent of the Black's curse may actually cancel out the gypsy curse already following Donal Sterling.  Or double the curse and Paul and Griffin will both die horribly.

Try Malt liqour or Skol Vodka.  You'd draw a crowd and could probably even swing a DoubleDutch Rudder if you're gangsta.

The Lakers have an almost free cap for the big free agency class if 2014.  They're too much of a draw to not get a big 3 that summer.

Actually I think Elton Brand may have had the curse transferred to him, at least somewhat
