That was awesome.

And am I the only one who thinks that goalie acquisition was better than their trade for Schneider?

I saw Anthony's stats, if he can keep those marks going for professional play, then the Devils got a steal at the 7th pick. Otherwise we just gave Marty a pat on the shoulder, but it's still awesome!

It'll help Martin gracefully face reality and understand his best years as goalie are behind him. He might be happier grooming his eventual replacements now that one of them is his son. Two weeks ago he was saying that any mofo that wants to take his job better be ready for a fight. I think now it might be easier to fight for his rivals to get better rather than simply kick their asses in goalie skills.Brodeur can extend his career another 5 years and help out his team if he allows himself to become a role player who does not start most games.

I love a player like brodeur that only plays on one team for a really long career. Even if it is a stankyass team like the devils. But at the end of their really great years theres the problem of gracefully ushering them out as icons rather than let them play embarrassingly too long and hurting the team. I think that maybe Brodeur now has the perfect path out of the game as a leader and wiley assed old vet mkentor to the next era in Joisey goalkeeping. I hope he takes this path out of active playing and into the HoF.

Instant favorite draft moment of the 4 majors.  High five to the LA Kings for making it possible.

Agreed.  The Kings had no real reason to go for that but they went for it anyway.
