Yeah....I call B.S. on "lower register"

His bass playing sounds more like a banjo to me.
Lightest gauge strings possible. bass all the way down, treble all the way up. He uses these tiny speakers on his bass amp.

When he performs he often brings an ACTUAL bass player to cover the low while he brightly twangs away.

I will reserve "Lord" of the lower register for real bass players like Entwistle and Jamerson.
