DjangoStonereaver: Doesn't she do a brisk business doing 'private concerts' for the ultra-rich like the Sultan of Brunei and the like?

A lot of singers do this. Beyonce sang for one of Khadafy's sons. Mariah Carey, too.

A statement released Sunday by her publicist said the event was hosted by the China National Petroleum Corp. and wasn't a political event.

American Pop star sings "Happy Birthday" to Turkmenistani President at the behest of a Chinese OilCo?

Just reading that gave me jet lag.

Now I'm wondering how much ya pay for that kind of thing and for that kind of money do you get the "Full Marilyn" treatment.

Lopez's publicist says the event was vetted by Lopez's staff: "Had there been knowledge of human rights issues any kind, Jennifer would not have attended."

Weird how they messed up there. Because I know that whenever there's a question of human rights abuses in Turkmenistan my go-to group for up to the minute knowledge is always a member of J-Lo's entourage.

/In a pinch a roadie for Ozzie will do but it's best to go straight for the source I say.
