straight red?! that's not a last-man foul.

2013-06-30 07:26:45 PM
WOW!  I don't know about a red there...

2013-06-30 07:26:48 PM
Wow, 10 players now for Spain

2013-06-30 07:26:48 PM
That is NOT a red card.

2013-06-30 07:26:58 PM
oh, red.  this game is out of hand.

2013-06-30 07:27:05 PM
RED CARD
GERARD PIQUE

It's just not Spain's day

2013-06-30 07:27:06 PM
Pique gets a straight red!

And I can't say I dispute it much. I might have given a yellow, but red I totally understand.

Shakira's boy sent to the showers.

2013-06-30 07:27:37 PM
Shakira is not happy. That will atleast keep the protestors outside the stadium.

2013-06-30 07:27:44 PM
and random look at shakira in the stands.

Yellow? Yes.

The ref probably saw that last little "kick" by Pique and deemed it a red card.

2013-06-30 07:28:15 PM
THAT was a straight red.  Called that before the ref pulled it out of his pocket.

2013-06-30 07:28:24 PM

RminusQ: straight red?! that's not a last-man foul.

That was cynical, delibrate and late. That makes it a good chance of a red

2013-06-30 07:29:06 PM
This game is over. Disappointing, but very much deserved.

2013-06-30 07:29:34 PM
After watching the replay, I can see how he gave a red card.

2013-06-30 07:29:37 PM
Iffy red there, but you've seen them given.

Even if Neymar doesn't get the Golden Boot, he's definitely been the player of the tournament.

Would it be a red if the game was all square?

Sort of what I was thinking.

I take it back, not that iffy. Pretty straight forward for violent conduct.

They need a Jurgen Klinsmann award for diving, he'd win that in a landslide.

Spain's given up. Look how slow they're moving. They're content to make lateral passes. Brazil is accommodating them, too

Granted, Brazil are up 3-0. I'm pretty sure they don't give a fark that Spain have the ball as much as they do, just that they don't score.

Yep, if it had been Luiz tripping Torres is might of been a yellow but that was just giving the ref an excuse to send you off.

Asa's they should. They're getting the rest they've earned.

They deserved to get one back there.

I hate agreeing with that nimrod Robson, but, yeah, this has been a good tournament.  If this is an indication of how the WC will be next year, bring it on.

I enjoyed it a lot, just like last Confed Cup. Heck, even Tahiti hit their goal of scoring once while they were here.

2013-06-30 07:47:46 PM
So as it stands:

Golden Boot: Fernando Torres
Golden Glove: Julio Cesar (pretty sure)

2013-06-30 07:47:59 PM
Started the match wanting Brazil to win, ended feeling bad for Spain that the ref was only calling fouls on them.

Brazil will get handed by Deutchland.

2013-06-30 07:48:47 PM
Who the fark brought a Suriname flag?

2013-06-30 07:48:50 PM
There's time to kill, so Ian Darke is just ripping into FIFA's rankings because he does not give a fark.

See you in a year, Brazil.

And do remember, nobody's letting you get away with hiding the poor people. We're wise to that trick by now and we know they're there anyway.

That; Brazil's gonna be a welcome change from the vuvuzela's droning non-stop in SA.

Surprisingly enough, they do. Just had a reunion tour.

Absolutely.  Congratulations!

FYI, Brazil moves up to #9 in the next FIFA rankings, but they'll probably drop a number of spots between now and next summer because they're not playing any important games.

Really ESPN? More Justin Timberlake? Not the awards ceremony?

I go over to pack my bags, and I miss the trophy presentation? Oh well.
