I would say that is pertinent information, Goddammit.

Damn you. I was gonna say that's why I always go with AMD. They are known to be leak proof. My motherboard is spotless and dry.

But you beat me to it... sort of.

Better shut them down now, and force them out of our country. Any company that works with such dangerous chemicals that the slightest mishap can threaten lives should never be allowed in the USA on the EPA's watch. Besides, who needs computer chips anyhow? We should be using those alternative technology bio-chips I read about in an article in Popular Science like a decade ago.

It was chemicals, you see, and not "natural" ones. That's as much of that "sciencin'" as you need to know, American public. Any more than that leads to communism and atheism.

In other news, Intel has some manufacturing capacity in the US.

2013-06-30 01:44:13 PM
I had a GF years ago who worked for a semiconductor company - she was in some kind of administrative role, but it was all in the same building as the plant where they were making the stuff. They had this lockdown protocol if there was ever any kind of leak, but the moment the alarms went off she ran for her farking life and waited things out in the parking lot. Smart girl. She said that if the place ever burned, the first responders had been made aware that they would probably not survive. As a result, the nearest firehouse was not a popular place for firefighters to get stationed.

Have intel leaks killed more Americans than drone strikes overseas have?  Heyo.

I looked up the MSDS and was surprised by how mild that is compared with some of the other stuff used in semiconductor fabrication.

They manufacture 75% of their products in the U.S.

Or perhaps it means states with high numbers of "illegal immigrants" aren't being completely ruined by them?
