SOP in the SEC would be to have the boosters gang-rape the victims to death at half-time

Of course the SEC is simply trying to reach the heights of Notre Dame and it's way of handling sexual assaults http://www.salon.com/2013/01/17/notre_dames_double_standard/

Ahh, the culture of the BDFJ strikes again. Too bad they are so entrenched and enjoy such blind admiration that these BDFJs will probably get away with their alleged crimes. After all, they are above us poor slobs and therefore a different set of laws applies to them. Typical in our societal model.

/BDFJ = Big Dumb Frat Jock
//these people rule the world right now. They are seen as upstanding citizens and a credit to the culture. Just because they played a sport in college and managed to buy a degree. No wonder this country is in the state it is in.

Hell if they were really in the SEC, they would have covered up the misconduct like other schools so it wouldn't impact their team.

Hey fellow Gamecock! I was there '92-'96 (not from SC originally). My only gripe is that everywhere else in the country you have to specify "South Carolina" even though the school was chartered waaaaaaaay before that other USC. B*tches be stealin' my acronyms, yo.

Not sure if it existed in your time there, but there was a pedestrian bridge connecting that Bates House dorms with the Russell House (it crossed Rosewood Ave. if memory serves.

Well, one night I got drunk and for some reason decided that riding a motorcycle across the VERY pedestrian bridge was a good idea. For some reason one of the doors to Russell House (that's the student union, for those watching at home) was open. I nudged it open with my front tire and went nuts on it. I didn't hurt anyone, but it was definitely a crime. When I came out to the courtyard, not only were the university police there - so was the City of Columbia regiment. Guns drawn.

I was drunk, and a kid, so don't judge me when I tell you that when they bullhorned me to "step off the vehicle" I responded, "If I get off I'm going to fall down." Funny - I managed to expertly ride the machine to and through the facility with no accidents. But if I stepped off that bike with no assistance I'd have immediately face-planted.

The city cops left after it was clear I wasn't a big deal. But the USC cops...wow, they put me through a ringer. They made me push the bike home while they slowly walked behind me, openly laughing at how stupid I was (and I was). Rather than officially arresting me one cop told me, "I know what this bike looks like. I know the model and I know you. If I see you riding that thing in the next 30 days I'm hauling your ass in." Where "in" was wasn't discussed but I didn't want to find out.

So I didn't ride. She sat in the parking lot for a month, with my wistful gazes cast her way from the 11th floor. I did, however, continue to drink tequila.

Please know that I grew up to be a very responsible and lifelong motorcyclist. But that bridge...I had to do it, man. It was like it was calling to me. I wheelied and everything.
