Superjoe: Hey soosh, good to hear you are back.

Isn't there someplace I can download the show later if I miss it live? I've been looking for it but to no avail.

I've got a couple more by the same band tonight.  They really are awful covers, but have a certain charm.

Hi soosh and everyone!  From a sucky mood tonight, I've gravitated to a great mood!

And instead of listening to soosh on the ipad, I've got my laptop hooked up to proper speakers, so it's all good.

soosh: Notabunny: soosh: Notabunny: That's Bootsy. I'm trying to learn this bass line right now. There's a reason I'm not bootsy.

no Bootsy so far.  which song?

That was Bootsy Collins playing bass for James Brown. I'd know those fingers anywhere.

ah, ok.  I forgot he started with James Brown's band.

Yeah. I've decided I want to play like Bootsy. I can barely walk and chew gum, so I don't know why I'd think I can play like Bootsy. But I'm having a blast trying. For father's day, my kids humored me and played drum and guitar while I punished my bass. I learned my 6yo daughter has more funk than I can ever hope for. Oh, well. C'est la vie.

Thanks, ST.  I like hearing that from my favorite music lover!  I don't know anyone who can pull up YouTube music so quickly and make it fit what we're talking about.  You'd be a great DJ!

I played alto and tenor sax for about five or six years.  Someday I want to take it back up.  Right now, I can't afford a good tenor, which is what I would like to play.  Hell, I can't afford a sh*tty tenor at this moment.

Also I can tell I need to be WAY drunker for this playlist.
