I was trying to figure out how to "ironicize" this, as a wildcat is terrorizing downtown Tucson, i.e., the University of Arizona campus area, i.e., the Wildcats.

Yeh i know it's dumb.

Everyone in Tucson is rabid.

Living in Phoenix, there were many times we had to run from a bobcat in our backyard. It's part of living in the desert. BFD

"Officials say the cat could strike again.

But they say the chances diminish hourly because the animal appears to be in the last stage of rabies and may have no more than a few days to live."

Whew! I'm relieved.

The rabies virus attacks a mammal's central nervous system.

This just seems like a very weak closer to an article

BTW, anyone have pics of the two chicks that Bobcat had on that Comedy Central show he had a few years back? One of them was major league hotness.

He had nicknames for them... I can't remember what it was... it was like "tweedle dee" and "tweedle dum"

Note to self: Avoid Tucson in upcoming Arizona trip...

...wait, why would I go there anyway? The only good thing to come out of Tucson is the bus to Phoenix.

Tuscon has the largest gem show in the world every febuary. I imagine its not a pretty town but for rockhounds there is a good reason to go.

My stepbrother was mauled by a bobcat. The neighbors were keeping it caged on their property (who knows for what foul purpose - its pelt looked as appealing as one of Tina Turner's wigs) and we would feed it fish sometimes. My stepbrother, age 4, brought over a fish and was teasing him. The bobcat stuck out his paw and neatly hooked him with a claw in the meat of his forehead and dragged him to the cage, at which time the cat took the fish. Took 14 stitches to close the wound, plus shots up the ying yang.

He still has a fun time explaining the scar.

I'm moving to Tucson this weekend. I get mixed feelings from this thread, but given that I'm coming out of Albuquerque I don't imagine it could get much *worse*.
