So...how many Nixons was that?

I would have preferred it if the list were FICTIONAL presidents, but...hard to argue some of them.

Yes, no one said that the list had to LACK a sense of humor when it comes to the portrayal ;)

Edward Hermann did a great job playing FDR in Eleanor and Franklin back in the late 70's. He did such a good job that they made two sequels with him playing FDR again.

James Whitmore did a brilliant one man show back in the mid 70's about Harry Truman called "Give 'em Hell Harry". But that is sort of tarnished because he had just done a great job as Will Rodgers in another one man show right before that.

When Saturday Night Live first came on Chevy Chase did a great Gerald Ford. Later on both Phil Hartman and Darrell Hammond did a very good Bill Clinton. And Timothy Bottoms had Dubya Bush down perfect in Comedy Central's short lived series, That's my Bush

Nice to see Bruce Greenwood there. Great flick. Also, check out the live-for-tv remake of Fail Safe from 2000 w/Richard Dreyfuss as POTUS. Great cast with Brian Dennehy, Sam Elliott, Harvey Keitel, Hank Azaria, Noah Wyle, Don Cheadle, James Cromwell, and George Clooney

Not only a slide show, but a slide show that doesn't work if you have Ghostery installed. You can't even open each slide in a new window.

For reals. The most earnest, gravitas-laden movie president ever. If the world was coming to an end (and I was American), I'd want Morgan Freeman as my President.

I always like to pretend that Donald Pleasance survived the events in Puma Man, and created a new identity, as an American. He rose to the presidency, deciding that world conquest the old fashioned way was better than magical alien artifacts. He consolidates his power in this dystopia of what was America (Escape from NY). This inevitably leads to a nuclear war, and Donald is able to secure his power even further, ruling over a smaller, but more powerful empire in  Warrior of the Lost World.
