Never seen or heard of it before. Based on the picture it looks like a "Friends" ripoff with a black guy instead of Joey.

Damn Wayns Jr. now wishing he stuck with New Girl instead.

Is it wrong that I've never heard of this show?

I could see that. I always thought of it more as a parody of the type of show that Friends was.

I liked the show. It was ridiculously funny at times and put Eliza Coupe back on television on a regular basis which is a good thing (though I did have one of those "Holy shiat I'm getting old moments" when I realized that that was Damon Wayans' son)

I've never heard of it either.

Only if you wanted it to stay on the air. Otherwise, no.

Ditto on the never heard of it. I presume it was a Cinemax program about the message industry.

I'm not trying to be that obnoxious "this is still on the air?" douche, but I can honestly say I have NEVER heard of this show. If it is on its third season then I think the problem was terrible, terrible advertising.

It was silly fun. Fantastic actors. But the scripts were just bit too kooky and fluffy to hold my interest on a weekly basis.

Just like New Girl. And Cougar Town.

No, that would be the reality show replacing it.

i have to  admit i watch all three of these shows.
However, i wouldnt shed a tear if any of them are cancelled... which happened with both happy endings and cougar town. (cougar town picked up again)
anyway.. why do i watch so much bad tv?

I saw the Sad tag, and wondered if someone had died.

I loved Happy Endings.

This just tells me that network television is dead.  Which I don't have a problem with.  However - any self respecting gay has seen at least one or two episodes because of its gay awesomeness.

So clearly - you hate yourself.

One meme has to be the stupidest, and that is "never heard of it."

He was cast as the black guy in The New Girl, but had to drop, out when Happy Endings was surprisingly not canceled after the first mini-season.

I am sure there is a show in need of a funny black man to add and edge to an otherwise vanilla cast under development right now.

To be fair, Happy Endings was a perfect vehicle for him.

The show was zany and all over the map in a good way. I guess 'sad' is too strong of a word but I'm disappointed that another smart comedy bites the dust.

It would have made a good companion to Cougar Town on TBS.

Can't stand New Girl. Just little or nothing good, funny, or interesting on that show, at all.

Too bad it wasn't the new "Rules of Engagement". Fun show to spend 30 minutes to watch without regret.

The cast was really good.  It was a goofy show but probably my number two sitcom after New Girl.  Oh well.

That sucks, it was a great show.

I'm guessing the cancellation was due to Vanilla Sky.

At least we can say that it did, at one point, exist. Somehow ABC managed to make 3 very off-the-wall and unique comedies last season (Happy Endings, Don't Trust the B, and How to Live with Your Parents) and canceled them all, instead of putting them all together and giving us a great night of weird comedy.

I don't understand people who chime in with "Never heard of it."  Why are you even in a thread about a show you've never heard of?  Also, if you pay attention to pop culture at all, how could you have NEVER heard of it?  It was on after "Modern Family", which is a show a ton of people watch.  If you watch any t.v. on ABC, you've probably seen a commercial.  If you listen to people talk about t.v., they've probably mentioned it.  If you've totally avoided any mention of it, you clearly don't engage with what's going on with network t.v.  At which point, again, why are you in this thread?
I thought "Happy Endings" was amazing.  It was definitely my favorite show on t.v.  For everyone who misses it, this tumblr is the best:

http://hellyeahhappyendings.tumblr.com/

And for those people who say it looks like a "Friends" ripoff, it basically had three Joeys, a Phoebe/Rachel, a Monica, and a Chandler.  But, you know, funny, and with people who were terrible individuals in a "Seinfeld" way.  And the least stereotypical gay person on television - they had a joke about how everyone was "gayer" than Max, except that Max is a dude that sleeps with other dudes.

Nah, the gay guy is Joey.  The black guy is Chandler.  But other than that, pretty good.

And yet, "2 1/2 Men" remains. Sometimes, I don't get you, TV-watching public.
