Good thing they marked that ginormous ballot as a sample.  For a second there I thought the guy was a midget.

Being mayor of Detroit is about as important as being mayor of the Neighboorhood of Make Believe now that there's a Dictato...errr..."Emergency Manager" in place there.

the comments from the opposition to him running make them sound like retarded middle schoolers::

Barrow's campaign issued a statement Friday calling Duggan's move "creepy" and "desperate." Barrow campaign officials are expected to meet with lawyers to discuss whether they will seek to have Duggan's campaign shut down. .

"With this decision, Duggan thinks he is better than the City Charter, than four judges, two Michigan courts (and) the entire field of candidates," Barrow said. "It's too bad that he will have to waste hundreds of thousands of dollars on a cash-and-carry hubris campaign for the wealthy and arrogant."

Receiver (link to WP) is a far more accurate description of an Emergency Manager's role, but I guess that wouldn't fit the narrative, would it?

Do you deny that an Emergency Manager has almost total power to completely and unilaterally overrule the local government whenever he feels like it?

I'm voting Szczepkowski just because he has the best scrabble name on the list
